Years ago, in a land far removed from the annals of time and recorded history, there lived a race of creatures known only as dragons. Of these cratures, there were a small brigade of humans that had stood against the creatures and even went so far as to tame a few of them to fight back against the some of the more fearsome of these monsters of the skies.

These humans were known as Dragoon Knights, employing some of their techniques to reflect something close to that of their draconic bretheren. Some gained a super-jump ability, others gained superhuman strength, others gained magical abilities while more attained the ability to fly for an extended period of time.

Of these humans, one of which was one of them that garnered all of these attributes. The name of this first human to do so was by the name of Samson DaVinci from the Arklay Mountains. He, with his silver dragon had once banded together to beat back a tribe of vicious red dragons and five Dragoons that have turned against their former allies with only their skill, their tenacity, and their unshakeable brotherhood.

One day, Samson was out in town, having sent his dragon away for it to feed in a remote area. The appearance of this infamous dragon rider clearly denoted his status amongst the townspeople, his silvery dragonscale armor glistening softly in the midday sun. Samson carefully lifted a gauntlet-glad hand and brushed it through his shoulder length blonde hair and sighed softly before opening his glacier blue irises to the world to have himself a look around through the town.

Soaring over through the skies was a dragon with hellish black scales with a indigo tint to them like the feathers of a raven. It's teeth stood out against it's black body appearing to be made out of pearls and it's claws looking like sculpted indigo quarts. The dragons eyes where sapphires with ruby irises that pierced out through the thin slits on them. This was an intimidating beast It's wing span stretching out some 40 feet across and it's slender but sturdy looking body measured 20 feet from head to tail. At the end of the dragon's tail was a dagger like ruby appendage that appeared to be a cross between a mace and a sword, functioning in the manner a scorpions tail would. This beast was not one to be messed with. Snorting a thick haze of white smoke from it's lungs it raced around through the sky like an arrow.

When the beast came down lower it revealed the rider on it's back. The rider was young and strong having made a grand name for himself. Sir Ander one of the kings greatest knights. Sir Ander was known for feats of heroism that disregarded his own safety and put others above himself. He was a moor with a two inch afro on the top of his head, red irises just like those of the dragon he rode and very little armour. Sir Ander instead donned a mail of dragon's bones and scales that had been melted down to form a particularly tough form of armour. Looking down he saw his comrade below guiding the dragons direction with a simply gesture. Swooping down towards the ground the dragon slowed down just enough for him to hop off standing next to Samson.

"Aye Samson! What a fine day it be now no?"

Sir Ander was famous warrior as well. He was best known for freeing a small village from the tyranny of a terrible giant. The giant took all of the villages virgin girls to be used as his consorts by force. The village offered to pay him but he turned the money down, instead killing the giant for free. Sir Ander had faced the monster down, defeating it by cutting it's throat and feeding it to a pack of 50 wolves. Walking along side Samson these two men where some of the most cunning and skilled swordsmen you could ever hope to find anywhere. As his dragon soared about overhead, Sir Ander pulled out a pouch that was filled to the brim with a strong wine, tossing it over to Samson so that he could wet his beak. True enough these two where the best of friends, becoming friends in the most odd of circumstances. They where both being pursued by bounty hunters when they bumped into each other and fought back to back. Turning sharply Sir Ander was getting a bad feeling.

" Samson, there be creatures with fell deeds in mind, I can feel their soulless bastard auras from here..."

Nearby, villagers could be heard talking about the one bit of news the area was keen to know more about. This town and others within the domain were under the rule of a certain family of Nobles. It had been known to all that the neighboring dragons had been pillaging and destroying parts of these lands. The Nobles did their best to react in time and help the villagers, but they never seemed to be fast enough. So it was that today, of all days, the daughter of the Noble (who was old and too weak to travel) was sent out to negotiate peace. Having no brothers, it would be her responsibility to reach an agreement that would benefit both sides. The venders were alive with gossip, asking passers-by for any news. One in particular was offering a discount on his meats if there was news to be exchanged that he had not heard. Many tried to take advantage and failed.

In the midst of a great road not far from the town, Lady Sophia road on toward the dragon territory, bearing the banner of peace. She was clothed in royal blue riding garments (a thinner, cotton shift and a jacket), her light brown hair curled pleasantly down her back. Though she knew the danger she was in, she refused to carry anything but a bow with her, her servants traveling unarmed, her one guard carrying naught but a sword and shield. His armor, however was light, and the lady, much to his discomfort was very vulnerable to attack. It was because of this, that the luscious noble had to remind him again and again that if they were to be seen with weapons their banner of peace would mean very little to the dragons that they so wished to craft peace with.

This day however, she found that she wished she would have listened to the guard. As she rode she became very much aware of the fact that there were shadows passing over the ground. Numerous shadows. "Be calm," she spoke. Her servants, however, were anything but. "Tarro...be ready." No sooner had the words left her mouth than a dragon descended, taking the guard up into his talons, horse and all. "RUN!" she called to her servants. The command was almost not needed. One of her servants managed to escape running back toward the town.

The noblewoman unsheathed her bow and quickly strung it, firing a volley arrows into the sky, sending a few dragons away as others, landed around her, surrounding her. She looked around her unsure of what to do.

"What is it that you want with me? I am traveling to promote peace. Why have you provoked my attack?"

Not long after leaving the noblewoman, the servant reached the town, crying out for anyone with knowledge of arms.

"Someone please help! My lady is under attack! The dragons have attacked her. I fear she is defenseless."

Samson glanced up at the sky for a moment when he heard the beating of powerful wings up in the sky above him there was a presence of another dragon rider somewhere in the area, and judging from how the aura felt, this was one of those who had followed the honest path from what he could tell.

Landing beside him was that rider's beast, this one measuring that of a battlement of some kind in length with just the exact amount of height, as well. The rider however, was someone he had come to know over the years ever since he had first met him in one such campaign about five years ago that had never left his memories ever since that day.

But regardless of which, here was that other infamous dragoon knight standing next to him and smiling at him pleasantly after greeting him.

"Indeed it is, Sir Ander." Samson answered as he caught the bag of wine and opened it before taking a slow swig of it, brushed the armguard of his suit of armor against his cheek and sighed comfortably before resealing it and tossing it back to him. "An even finer day it would be if it weren't for some brainless half-wit starting any trouble to ruin my good mood, I daresay." He added jokingly.

The rest of the conversation, however, would be cut short the moment he heard someone run into the town, squawking wildly for someone that could assist. Narrowing his eyes of sapphire at this, Samson immediately snapped his head towards Ander and spoke quickly.

"I strongly advise we see to this matter right away." Samson said quickly before refocusing his attention back to the individual that was still calling around for someone to help.

Sir Ander laughed at Samson's remark growing a mischievous smile on his face as he turned to the man."Aye it's not usually in me to be able to annoy a woman." The knight said as he teased at his comrade. Samson was always a fun person to be around, even more so when the fighting started. Samson was a very strong man, something that had long earned respect from Sir Ander. He had seen Samson beat an Ogre at arm wrestle and grapple with all sorts of monsters. That might have been the reason that Ander suggested them fighting together, back when they had first met. Sir Ander seemed to recall Samson getting into a drunken brawl that started the whole thing, although he couldn't be entirely sure about that. Sir Ander's loopy and cheerful mind had a habit of confusing things with completely unrelated topics, though it always seemed to make perfect sense to him.


"I'm getting that feeling that it won't be me ruining that good mood of yours. The sense of fiendish intent is growing more powerful by the second."


The sound of wings caught the attention of both warriors. Sir Ander sensed it as well, something was definitely going on now, the wings weren't those of his dragon. Knowing that he would have to arrive quickly Sir Ander nodded towards Samson. "Aye good friend. It'd be best to leave now forthwith!" Running towards the direction he sensed the auras coming from Sir Ander raised his hand to the air." Desiraoth!" He called for his dragon, being greeted by a black blur that swooped down to grab his arm. Flinging Sir Ander onto it's back the dragon sped forth speeding towards the other group of dragons, tracking them by their scent on the wind. Preparing himself for battle, Sir Ander didn't waste time turning around. He knew that Samson would most likely be able to keep up with him.

The dragons that surrounded Lady Sophia didn't appear to be anything but rogues. No real status seemed to set them apart. Negotiation, it seemed, wouldn't be much of an option with them, considering that they had already attacked her as she road under the banner of peace. No, they didn't seem interested in peace at all. More likely, food was the thing that occupied their minds. This intent was voiced by one in particular.

"What are the odds that the humans would be able to defend themselves against us if you managed to disappear, noble?" He chuckled. "I say we eat her now and then take her lands and the villages from her realm by force. It seems to have been working this far."

Shit. This was not good. She looked around her narrowing her eyes. Quickly, she pulled an arrow from her quiver and took aim, but she was pushed down by a strong and heavy talon, pinned by tons of muscle and her own foolishness.

"She looks tasty," another said. "And she's particularly soft. It should be fine dining."

In a game of chess, one must outwit those whom they are against- the same was true here. He had to overwhelm the others- or simply get rid of them like the disposable pawns that they were. Simply little pests that buzzed before his line of view. One by one he would try to pick them off, simply wishing for this to come off as easy, but life isn't such an easy thing. It didn't matter how they were disposed of, whether it was a pawn, rook or knight; just as long as they were gone. Peace wouldn't suit the plans he had in mind, hence the others had taken his cue to go after the noble. The hungry scoundrels knew full well of his steely temperament. After all most of the rogues had sworn loyalty to him; not that the others would understand the 'silver master' was he whom the spoke of. Nothing to his being seemed to be even close to the color, save for his eyes. The irises stared out angrily with their metallic sheen, only to be framed by strong 'pure' white strands. He seemed fairly harmless, considering his size, but that was just something he used to his advantage.

He held a human visage, a male face to his humane frame- though one could tell easily by looking at him. That he wasn't like anyone else. His teeth sharpened expertly to needle points, his white wings resting at his back and his long tail. One could see that the dragon hide seemed to be the texture and strength of his body, despite looking like normal human skin. Just another thing he quite enjoyed about himself. Clinging silently to a nearby tree, he watched the others- his wings folded neatly at his back. His name wasn't well known, in the human circles, but any other dragon knew of him. Knew of Bakuya. Why he was given such a name was a mystery all on its own; maybe he had switched to the name. No one really knew. Staring out at those with the princess, he couldn't help but grin. One obstacle down was a win for him. That was if the other's would simply get over with it and divide the child before them.

Without a second thought as he saw Ander taking to the skies, Samson immediately lifted his hand upwards and shouted in a draconic language that only he and his dragon, Damascus, could understand. Then again, it was deemed absolutely needed for all dragoons to know this language, lest he and the dragon understand the other clearly.

"Damascus! I summon thee onto the field of battle posthaste!" He called out.

Damascus, Samson's dragon heard his sire's cry for assistance and lifted his long necked head upwards and snorted his reply before unveiling his massive 20 foot wingspan and flapped them powerfully, lifting the 25 foot long, 20 foot tall silver-scaled beast skywards within a few flaps before heading towards his master.

Samson was now charging hard through the town until he finally reached the outskirts as if he was anticipating the arrival of his partner with a look of focused determination on his face before looking skywards. There, glistening like so much platinum in the mid-morning skies, was Damascus barreling down towards him at a frightening rate of speed. Samson did not fear this, for he and his dragon had done this technique plenty of times in the past whenever a quick escape was deemed absolutely, positively necessary.

Once Damascus had lowered his head and frame down until he was just several feet off of the ground, Samson locked eyes on his dragon as it sped closer and closer still until both emitted a war cry of sorts. Suddenly, Samson crouched down onto one knee before launching himself high enough to land just on the edge of the dragon's bottom lip and hang onto a large tooth. From there, Samson worked himself around until he finally ascended onto the back of Damascus's horned head then slid down his neck until Samson's backside came in contact in the very dead center of where Damascus's neck and shoulders met.

"Head higher, Damascus!" Samson shouted to his dragon once more, getting a snarl of sorts from his dragon in reply before they soon took off after Sir Ander and Desiraoth.

Desiraoth's speed was phenomenal even in the dragon world, perhaps only matched by Damascus. The dragon quickly followed the scent left by the other beasts, guiding it in their direction until they where in it's sights. Sir Ander was narrowing his eyes and raising his sword as he prepared for a battle that would without a doubt take place in the sky. Tapping Desiraoth on the side he signalled for the dragon to maneuver out of sight from the other dragons, each powerful wing beat carrying him silently upon them. Descending below the horde that was carrying off the maiden the pair stalked them waiting carefully for the moment to strike out at their enemies. Once the moment was right Sir Ander began to mentally link with Desiraoth to allow them to battle in sync with each other in such a intricate battle scenario. Mind linking with his dragon was something that only Sir Ander so far was able to do, just as Samson could his powerful abilities without match.

" Now Desiraoth now. We let our foes behold upon our might the moment before they are cut from the sky!"

The black dragon in a burst of speed exploded from below head butting the soft underbelly of the dragon who thought that the maiden was tasty. Upon hitting it, Desiraoth flew aside his falling enemy allowing for Sir Ander to stab the great beast through the heart before slashing it's wings. As the dragon fell from the sky very near death Sir Ander propped his feet against the spiky protrusions on Desiraoth's back. Raising his sword he assumed his stance challenging his foes to attack him. Turning towards the maiden he cursed his enemies for not giving him enough time to marvel at her beauty."Fair maiden your rescuers are here." Turning towards the dragons Sir Ander's eye's pierced through the creatures like spears."Now beasts attack me so that I may cut you down with the great blade Vancxior!" The knight said showing a great amount of confidence in his skills to so openly challenge foes such as these.

As the dragon was knocked off of her, she couldn't be more grateful. She took the hand of the dragoon knight who helped her to her feet and nodded in thanks, standing behind him a few feet away to give him room. "Thank you for thy help, good sir." She tried her best to stay out of his way as the dragons continued to surround them. The bow and arrows she'd had were gone now and useless to her as they lay broken not far away. The lady could only hope that the dragoon would protect her from harm.

Blast it. He watched as the knights came upon his small horde of rogues, these were just a few that h ad taken to the idea that he had given them. The other rested safely away for the time being, waiting on his orders. Glaring out from within the trees, he let out a low hiss- sounding much like a snake in the underbrush below as he started to move. Making sure that his movement was something those above would overlook. After all- how many men from that world would know of the hybrid? Not very many, though their dragons would be keen to his name; not much more. Padding against the ground softly, he watched from below, steely eyes taking in the movements of those above him. Know thine enemy? That was exactly what he was doing now that his plans had shifted from victoriously to that of defensive. Though the others didn't know of him lurking below yet, he could still take in them as silently as he could while he had this upperhand for himself. Staring directly at the two dragons and riders that opposed him, he had to rake his mind to remember them. Having the ears of the rogues he commanded came in handy at a time like this. If memory served him right the black dragon would be as formidable as the other; something he would have rather had on his side. Especially considering the rider had just sliced open one of his comrades.

"...." he glanced up at the fight in the air, not daring to show himself. He had to stay on good terms with everyone- after all he was considered one of the special guards with the rest of the dragon world. It was an interesting twist to his true personality, he functioned in several levels at once; something the others wouldn't quite understand. Maybe that was why no dragon had figured out that the 'silver master' was he. Considering his name Bakuya had been shortened for royal circles to 'Kuya'. It was hard to really pin anything on him, let alone understand where he stood entirely; not that anyone really second guessed the shimmering dragon hybrid.

Damacus's speed was intense, possibly more than enough to send a lesser human being off of any dragon if they attempted such a feat as this. And yet, while Ander had a more methodical approach, Samson was all about charging headlong into battle and never letting up once he rammed his zweihander (or greatsword) Firebrand into its victim.

"Damascus! Let them feel our wrath! Head downward and spear one upon your horns!" He shouted to him.

In response, Damascus started diving downward at a heinous, stomach wrenching pace, nearly forcing the rider off had he not hold tightly onto one of the sharp blades that made up the contour of the silver dragon's back. Once Damascus set his eyes of sky blue upon his target, the beast lowered his head, aiming the horns for another one of the rogue dragons and speared it savagely but cleanly through the neck. The amount of inertia that followed soon after was more than enough to lurch Samson violently off of Damascus, but once more, he did not show fear as he was thrown from the silver beast's back, flipping end over end.

As he hung there in the sky for what may have been for an eternity, Damacus forcably removed his horns from the neck region of the other dragon, causing a fountain of red to spew forth and downwards like so much rain. Even before that dragon had fallen, Samson had landed upon the beast's back with his blade Firebrand drawn and drove it violently into the hardened spine and yanked it out with some degree of difficulty, causing wails and howls of pain to rumble through the opposing dragon.

Even still after the downward descent began for both Samson and the other dragon, the dragoon stood there, looking up at Damascus as the silvery dragon was now hurrying towards his master and grabbed Samson, taking him off of the other dragon's back and quickly replacing the dragoon back into his own.

"Excellent work, my friend. You shall be rewarded for this." Samson said simply as he glanced upwards at the ensuing combat that was happening above him. "Damascus, it appears as though we are not through yet. Let us join our brothers in combat once more." He commanded again, getting a slight growl from the dragon as he went upwards, joining Sir Ander and Desiraoth.

" No worries maiden, I shall have thy name upon my return." Sir Ander said with a smile turning to the approach of Samson." The smart thing to do would be to fight side by side my friend...But as you are aware, this night be one of a very daft nature."

When the maiden was retrieved Sir Ander leaped off of Desiraoth and free feel from the sky, soon to be pursued by one of of his foes... He left the woman on Desiraoth's back knowing that the dragon would let no harm come to her. Turning around the black dragon gave the woman a brief sniff, examining her so see if she was a threat or had a hidden agenda, finding none he decided to protect her. Turning towards Damascus the black dragon snorted flames and smoke from his nostrils, smashing his tail again Damascus's a friendly greeting in the world of these great creatures. Wanting to fly away and help Ander he respected the man's descison to fight alone, even admiring it. It Sir Ander wasn't as bold and courageous as he was Desiraoth would have reduced him to cinders at the mere mention of riding him. When a dragon allowed a human to ride them a bond was instantly formed along with a increased level of pre-existing respect.


The knights, head narrowed as the dragon brought it's head back spewing hot flames at him from it's gullet. Holding Vancxior out infront of him Sir Ander deflected the flames with the sheer holy power that his blade possessed within it. The dragon swooped down positioning it's self under the knight, it's gaping mouth wide open in anticipation for a nice meal. Watching as he fell towards the the beasts mouth, Ander swung the flat side of his sword against the dragons top jaw, stopping his fall out of the sky. The creature wasn't through with the knight yet, with a great flap of it's wings it carried him upwards into the sky past the clouds overhead cutting off the veiw of the others in the area. Valiantly the beast was fought against, Sir Ander having positioned himself on the dragon's back, continuously blocking it's whip like tail with Vancxior then having to turn and deal with the hot flames spewing from it's mouth.

Gritting his teeth the night swung Vancxior at the back of the dragon, it's back scales being far too tough to be penetrated even by holy steel. When the Dragon attacked again this time it was at the same time, scewered by the dragon's tail from the front or incenerated by intense flames from behind, those where the choices that Sir Ander appeared to be presented with at the moment. Of course being a knight and a stubborn one at that, Sir Ander chose neither. Holding Vancxior out behind him Sir Ander blocked the flames and grabbed on to the tail when it came at him treating it as a vine to swing below the beast. Sharp was the best way to describe the clean stab to the creatures stomach killing it with a mortal wound. The two soon began falling from the sky Ander was unsure of how to stop himself, he didn't have the flight ability. "Samson! I'm in need of assistance old friend!" Was all the knight could say before stream lining himself for more control of his body.

As Sir Ander left her, Sophia watched, horror-struck. No one should have ever had to go through all of this to save her. Then again, she shouldn't have been attacked if she was going for peace. Still, the girl knew that she'd basically asked for this situation to happen. And now, as she watched the knight plummet to what was sure to be his doom, she couldn't help but let out a little scream, covering her eyes. Then she heard the roar of a dragon and saw that it was falling, thanks to the skill of the man who had left her. All around her was chaos, another knight of the dragoons joining in the fray. The speed of the battle, to her, was dizzying. She could barely keep up with all that was happening.

And then she noticed the other knight's descent, and she was instantly panicking. "Dragoon, please forgive me for not knowing your name. I apologize profusely, however, if you would move to save your friend the knight, I think he would be quite appreciative...

It was all dissolving before him as the knights started to fight off those that reigned under him, gritting his teeth stubbornly he held back. Had he jumped into the fray now without knowledge of the knights expertise he would be ripped to shreds or at least one would imagine he'd be killed upon sigh. With a gruff snort from his nose, he couldn't help but simply stare at the Knights over the top actions; they were born daredevils. Had they not been the dragons probably would have never even considering being with them. Yet despite that, he couldn't help but watch and calculate the two by their actions before him. For sometime he simply stood below, hidden by the trees that marked the forest that surrounded him. Then as time started to ebb away, he started to make his leave. His spade like tail whipping around behind him as he went off towards the nearest town. Whether for relief or simply so he could get away from the stench of death and fire that burned in the air. He would meet the Knights again, he was sure of it, but for now he would lay low. Even with it being his duty to meet with the noble, he saw no point in doing so. He would report back to the hierarchy that the female had been intercepted by rogues of their kind and he would be off the hook in seconds.

Samson glanced upwards when he heard his comrade's shout for immediate assistance. That crazy son of a bitch! He should've know better than to hang onto a dragon's tail after making the kill! Nevertheless, Sir Ander needed assistance right away.

"Damascus! Hold them off!" Samson said to his dragon before standing back up and leaping off of the beast's neck and into the sky. From there, a slight metamorphisis of sorts took place as a set of dragon-like wings shot out from hidden slits in the dragoon's armored back and expanded outwards to catch the air that was rushing at him powerfully.

With two mighty flaps, Samson took to the skies hurriedly, looking upwards at his plummeting comrade and catching him singlehandedly.

"Got you!" Samson shouted as he caught Sir Ander in midair. "You should really consider some more flight lessons, comrade! Falling straight down is not one of them!" He said jokingly.

Desiraoth turned to the human female simply snorting through his nostrils, normally he would have said something, but he didn't like to speak often. Desiraoth knew that it'd take more than that to kill Sir Ander, he'd been with him for some time now and knew of the human's capabilities. Desiraoth merely jerked his head in the direction that Sir Ander was falling signalling for the female to watch and pay attention. Suddenly Desiraoth's attention was caught by the sound of a harsh roar nearby. Flying upwards he narrowly evaded the intense flames spewed at him by his fellow dragon turning around to the human, he narrowed his eye's.

"Hold on tight to my back..."

The Dragon said in a low deep voice with a bit of a hiss to it. Turning his body in a looping fashion he demonstrated his aerial skills, using his club like tail to smash the other creature in the face. Backing off Desiroath reared his head back releasing a concentrated ball of fire that slammed into the other dragons under belly burning a hole into it. Snorting he went back to paying attention to his rider. Andrew gritted his teeth really hoping that Samson happened to be in the mood to save him from his fate with the ground below. Feeling himself caught by Samson holding onto him by his forearm. Smiling as his friend spoke to him Sir Ander chuckled. "I thought I'd be attempting a process of trial and error." The knight said with a laugh as Samson carried him through the air.

Sophia didn't have to be told twice. She held the dragon tightly as he told her to hold tight to him. Her eyes closed and she screamed as the actions took place, but she placed her faith in the dragon, whether she was frightened out of her wits or not. The noble woman loosened her grip on the dragon when all danger seemed to have passed. "Well fought," she said with clear respect and admiration. All things considered, she felt quite safe, if not stressed.

Risking a heart attack, she returned her attention to the riders who were currently saving her life. Her light brown curls blew around her as she watched them fly, astounded. Who were these people? There were only a few dragons left in the air and they didn't seem too keen on staying. Relief came to the lady and she couldn't help but smile at the two knights and their shining victories, her gratitude to them and their dragoon friends immeasurable.

With his leave those there that hadn't been maimed or taken down tried to make their leave, the faint scent of his body leaving the air around them. Something about his scent was intoxicating, not that they would figure out why it tasted so sickeningly sweet and disbelievingly addictive at the same time. Snorting one of the larger dragons tried to make his leave, wings flapping heavily in the air as his green hide shimmer in the sky. He had been one of the closer contacts to Bakuya and admittedly one of the smarter in the rogues. Most considered him to be the leader of the groups but it wasn't entirely certain. With a burst of wind, he flew forward- trying to capture the faint scent of his master. Only those who had taken in a whiff of him would instantly know whom he was, otherwise the scent wouldn't register or would simply distract others. It was an interesting effect, something the dragon hybrid enjoyed.

Pressing further, he made his way back to where he had been supposedly coming from. The green scaled dragon above him named Eywm was simply trying to catch up with the quick feet of the other; seemingly looking like he was running away from the scene as if frightened. Bakuya made his way in, hands scrolling over the parchment he had on hand- making a simply note so that the nearby scouts would take his note to the others. Without even stopping he turned, running elsewhere. Eywm following with a 'dazed' expression to his face, not entirely sure as to where he was being guided.

After manuvering himself around so that he was flying back to Desiraoth, Samson only smirked at Sir Ander and shook his head. "Trial and error in a time of battle is not something you should attempt until you get your wings. It may take some time, but at least you'll get them, sooner or later. In the meantime, you should stick with your mount and leave some of the more riskier moves to me." He explained, smiling down at him for a moment before he flew back to the blackened dragon and placed the dragoon down on his back.

With that, Samson hung in the air for a moment, looking at the maiden they were charged with rescuing and arched an eyebrow at her. "So, I take it that you and your company were attacked by these rogues, madam?" He asked, studying her for a moment.

(Ack... I know this one's short, but it's all I can think about.)

Coming down to the ground with everything appeared to be over Desiraoth let the female down looking up as Sir Ander and Damascus approached. Looking at the human the dragon snorted again. Desiraoth always had disapproved of Sir Ander's reckless methods but he couldn't help but admire the man's ability to get things done. Never before had Desiraoth seen someone who could literally burst out into laughter in the face of death...and then roll around holding there gut for about five minutes of unnecessary chuckling. Then again a true warrior cared not about the stereotypical perception that a great fighter needed to appear fierce all the time. Sir Ander looked up to Samson with a smirk this time at the man's comment.

"Aye but I won't be needing wings when I've got a friend to catch me will I? Plus flying is not really to my liking."

The knight said as the came to land. Studying the woman aswell Sir Ander was much more upfront than Samson, probably because of his youth. Approaching the woman in a manner that would appeared desperate to most Sir Ander dropped down to one knee almost as if he was going to ask a woman that he had just met to marry him." My fair lady, thy flowery beauty could make even a goddess blush with envy! Surely that must be the reason why you where attacked?" Sir Ander said in a manner that would likely make a fool out of himself. Desiraoth rolled his eyes and lowered his head, stepping away from the man as if to say 'he's not with me'. The dragon proceeded to turn his head looking to the spot where their little spy had been perched earlier. Turning to Damascus to see if he had noticed as well he guided the other dragon's gaze to the spot, still drenched with the half lings scent.

Sophia blinked as the knight who had saved her practically through himself at her feet. She couldn't help but chuckle a bit as she blushed. "You may rise, good sir. There is no need to bow to me after you saved me. It is I who should thank and praise you. Your friends as well. I owe you much." She bowed her head gracefully, letting her light brown curls fall over her shoulders, though they were a bit looser thanks to their rough treatment. "Please...I know it's not much of a consolation, but come with me to my manor. I will see to it that you are all rewarded. As for the reason of attack...I can only tell you that they appeared to be rogues that didn't take kindly to there being an agreement between the dragons of these parts and the humans on my land..." She frowned and looked around her, the bodies of her servants rent from battle.

"There's nothing I can do for them now. But I shall send for a priest to bless them...there's much to do." With that, the maiden furrowed her brows and headed toward her home on foot, completely forgetting about the men around her, preoccupied with the things she now needed to do until she realized that no one was following her. "Will you come with me?" she asked, turning to face them once more, a bit shaken, by her experience. Still, she managed a soft, sweet smile for the entire party.
