Dragoon Knights OOC

This is an idea that me and EMW have been talking about as of recently.

xD Yeah, I'd say that you're probably going to need something more than that to get a decent plot out of it. Where would you like to expand it? I think that the woman's role should be more clearly defined, as well as the time period, though it sounds vaguely medieval. What do you think?

That was actually the whole premise of this discussion. We were thinking sometime during the medieval days, like sometime during the 14th century.

And as for the woman, yeah, I think maybe like a noble or royalty of some kind.

I'd like them to be Knights. Maybe under King Arthur? Also a little bit of fantasy, Dragons, Giants, Ogre's and the like? The female could maybe be a princess that they go to save?

HOWEVER!

I don't want the damsel in distress to be one of those Chicken Little "the sky is falling, th sky is falling" types. I was thinking maybe buff her up somewhat to handle a blade as well.

I would like to stay away from full out royalty, but a noble I could see. Then again, the princess role does offer a lot of room for opportunities to turn the two knights against each other in more violent situations than a noblewoman might. And what might the dragons and the like be up to? I'm all for having dragons as more intelligent creatures, but that's just me.

Either one is fine with me. ^^;

Hmm... These ideas do offer a bit more freedom to have it lead into a major escelation of violence on the two knights' part...

But I do see your point, Candira, about trying trying to keep away from full blown royalty. Maybe we can work our ways around this.

She could be village girl? I mean it doesn't always have to be royalty does it? Also how about this being a modern medieval time? Gun replacing swords and the like?

Unless if you wanna ADD guns and swords to this, then I'm all for it.

Well, we could always have the noblewoman be trying to negotiate peace. She can know how to handle a sword, but it traditionally makes more sense for her to be an archer or someone who can throw blades and hit a target. It would also make it easier for her to be over powered, which would be where you two come in. Though I'm not sure what else you would want to see....

As for the village girl, that plot is workable, and a bit easier to put into play. As for the guns and the like, I sincerely doubt that a peasant would have much prowess by any means in using guns, let alone having a woman know about them (given the time period).

Okay, so let's see what we can decide on now.

1. Village girl or Royalty (of some sort)

2. Weaponry authentic to the time or weaponry from that time AND guns (no bows and arrows).

3. The role of mythical creatures (villains or helpful)

4. Whether or not the men should be knights.

So then....item number one...opinions?

As far as number one goes I'm likeing your idea for a noblewoman best.

I think I like that one the best as well.

It's got two of three votes, so I say we move to item number two. What are your thoughts?

If you and BB would be more comfortable with no guns then It's not a big deal for me.

I don't particularly like the idea, but that's just me. I think we can wait for BB to settle this one.

Well, after reviewing the posts, I hereby proclaim that we are all in agreement with Candira's opinions on how this RP should look.

The dragons can be heroes or guardians if you want or bad whichever. And I'd prefer it if they where Knights. Or atleast my char.

I have no problem with them being both. ^^ The noblewoman could be trying to negotiate peace between her people and a group of dragons that have recently been having issues with the humans or something like that. So there could be rogue dragons if you like.

As far as the knight thing goes, I don't really have a strong opinion. It makes sense.
