The Children of Helio {CorruptedHatred && Jonie}

OOC: Okay so to give you a setting it's like a huge plantation, that's both modern and primitive. Such as the grow, clean, spin, weave and sew their own clothing, but they use scissors, knifes and things that were most likely bought from walmart. Which is what eventually leads River into thinking there must be a life outside of what he knows. Things like nudity and public sex are normal and beautiful is based on what the priest looks like because he's supposedly related to Helio. Priest is a blond hair, blue eyed, thin man. That's all I got for now, feel free to ad.




River looked at his pale palm and compared it to the dark tan of his stomach. He didn’t care what they called this religion River didn’t buy into it, even if he was forced to participate in it’s activities. River, like much of the cult religious followers, was uneducated. All he knew is what he managed to gather from pure intellect and intuition, oh, and yes, farming. He knew farming, but everyone knew farming by the age that they could walk and carry a basket at the same time. He looked up at Helio cursing his brightness and heat. It was hard work out on the field and at the age of fifteen he was in much better shape than most other Americans. Not that he knew that there was anything outside of the two hundred square miles the religious group owned.

River was not a beautiful person. His skin was dark and brown from Helio’s punishments for not working hard enough. Or at least that’s what Priest Earth had told him when he was found being nursed for sunburns, which was also when he learned he was not a beautiful person. He heard the nurses laughing at how dark his skin was and how handsome Priest Earth was. River looked nothing like the priest, his nose was large and straight, he didn’t have the beautiful blue eyes that Earth had, instead his were dark, almost black and very child like. He was tall, almost painfully tall as he stood six feet six inches, compared to the next tallest person in the plantation, who was merely five foot eleven inches.

As River grew older he was becoming more and more skeptical about the whole thing; how could that great big light in the sky be a man? River had trouble grasping the idea of anything intelligent and taking on human qualities as looking like anything but human. River was intelligent but he also lacked creativity.

A beautiful short plump woman ran up to him, her large breasts bouncing happily as she shouted his name, “River! River! We need you.” She paused to catch her breath. She quickly told him how they wanted to make him a guard of the sacrifice. Earth thought it was a good idea because River was so amazingly tall and strong for his age. With the sacrifice being so tempting to women at his age, he needed to be guarded.

So River was whisked away to be cleaned and given new clothing. He ran his fingers through his short black hair. It felt strange, his head was naked. He had never had his hair cut before and it had only an hour before fallen below his waist. However the clothing was nice clean cotton pants and a new shirt. He wasn’t used to clothing except for when they went for worship (although they were expected to continuously praise Helio). He did find it pleasant to wear the soft fabric against his skin.

Gently he knocked on the door that held the Sacrifice.

River had never see the sacrifice, but he had heard rumors that he looked like Helio himself. Which made River curious to see if maybe the Sacrifice really was Helio... or some type of God. His hands shook nervously as his tried to fix his short hair. It was embarrassing having his hair so short, almost disgraceful but the nurse maid told him they had to cut him short and delouse him before he could serve the Sacrifice. Which made sense, but it didn't mean he liked it any better. Except for very small children no one had short hair. He pushed the door open, not knowing what to expect, but trying to remain calm, after all, River was to become the closest person to the Sacrifice. Even his mother would not be allowed in the room with him alone any longer.

As soon as he caught a glimpse of the incredibly white skin and red hair River found himself on his knees frightened. Surely this man was Helios, that River could believe his skin was as white as the sun was blinding, and his hair was such a shade that River had never considered possible. River rubbed his face to the floor trying to make himself as lowly as possible. He didn't want to be harmed nor cause the Sacrifice any sort of anger. "I am your new guard, River." River wasn't sure at all what else he could say. The boy was completely beautiful. River cracked open his eyes to look at the Sacrifice once more and then compare his skin to his. The boy made River look almost black in comparison. River feared that the Sacrifice would be so revolted that he would request a new guard. On the other hand then River could go back to the land he knew and not have to think about the poor boy would would give up his life at the greatest festival the Children of Helio's would throw every nineteen years.

He continued to try to make himself as low as possible until the Sacrifice spoke, River looked up forgetting his fear momentary, glazing at the Sacrifice. Why would he think he was a demon? What exactly was a demon, River wasn't sure, he knew that they were meantioned during worship but he didn't know anything about them other than Earth was constantly over coming them. River thought that it was a big crock of ego and didn't believe it. His whole life he had never seen anything that he thought was evil, certainly only man can be evil. What if demon's where men... was that why River was being questioned? Curiously from his place on the floor he cocked his head to the side, "A demon? No I don't think I am. How would I know if I was?"

River didn't know if he liked being thought of something was reminded people of evil. River abruptly smothered his face back into the ground trying to prove he was no sort of demon. Certainly if Earth could drive demons straight into the afterlife the Sacrifice could do much worse. Although river was no strange to pain or fear, he wasn't one who often searched after it. He liked his life simple and as he laid on his belly fearful for his life, he felt that it had just become much more complicated. His large muscular frame trembled with fear in front of the god-like boy. In all reality River had the body that could snap Hono in half like a brittle piece of straw, but it was the thought that the Sacrifice may be more than man that lowered him to his belly.

River felt a little bit insulted, "Hey! My skin is not as black as night it's just dark. And I most certainly do not have horns or a tail and I never have." River huffed a little and then feel back into his terrified stated, especially now that he had yelled at the boy. River shivered as he felt the Sacrifices has run through his hair. Was he about to die for yelling at the god-man? River shriveled up inside fearing for his life. Instead the Sacrifice merely stated that he didn't think that he was one, and asked him to stand. Of course, as expected he waited until the Sacrifice was standing over him that he started his rise up to his full six foot six height. Now not only was his incredibly darker than the Sacrifice was was incredibly enormous as well. With the massive work loads that were put on him river was nearly twice the size of the Sacrifice and about a foot taller. River sighed looking at the floor, sure he had to be the ugliest person on the whole planet. Standing next to what most people considered, and even he himself thought, was the most beautiful person in the world, didn't help his self esteem one bit.

"Yes, Priest Earth chose me... for obvious reasons..." River glazed down at his massive hands that could probably grasp most of the Sacrifice's head. Although he dwarfed the Sacrifice he didn't fear him any less although his beliefs that he was a god-man wilted a little. Surely with the massive size of the sun Helio would be a large man. Finally River couldn't stand it any more, he didn't want to live in fear of someone who might be able to kill him by accidentally sneezing in his direction. Either he would die now or he wouldn't, "Sacrifice... are... you... Helio?" The question was asked in a very low tone as if he had just told the older boy a secret instead of asking for one. Grazing at the boy, River was even more awed at the boys marvelous appearance.

River relaxed a little although he felt a little stupid for not considering that before, he couldn't be Helio if he was here and the sun was in the sky. He blushed fiercely as he watched the Sacrifice play in his sheets. River longed to touch their shiny exterior, he never saw anything that looked so smooth, but he feared that if he did his coarse hands would tear and frag the delicate, woven fabric. He hated his hands suddenly, they were strong, working hands. They were horribly callused and ragged with deep scars, rewards for the many years he lingered out in the hot sun farming and toiling in the dirt for the love of Helio. Not that he loved Helio so much as it turned out, but he did not care to be called lazy nor bring his family some type of shame. In away he loved work it made him strong and happy. It required little thought. Yet, here in the presence of the Sacrifice he felt shame and humiliation. How ugly the Sacrifice must see him. Why it bothered him River was unsure but it did. He longer to be as desired as the Sacrifice with his beautiful white skin and his fierce red hair. He resisted the urge to reach out and touch the skin that looked as smooth as the silk, feeling that he might mar the boy's heavenly looks as easily as he might ruined the frailness of the bed sheets.

River shook his head curiously at the boy's next word though, not understanding, "How can you be his son? Doesn't a man and a woman have to mate to make a child? If Helio is god and he is the sun, then how could he make love to a woman. It doesn't make sense..." River hadn't meant anything offensive by it, but even if the Sacrifice was his child that didn't mean he was anything special really. Children weren't always like their parents. River stood a little taller looking at Hono, "Doesn't it bother you?"

River didn't quiet agree with what the Sacrifice told him about gods not needing women in that way. He suspected that Earth had problem told him something like that. Earth always seemed to have some type of answer for everything. It didn't matter what it was, but the way he said it, made it sound so much like fact. The Sacrifice had that same quality about him. River took a step forward, closer to Hono, about to try to dispute his logic. But instead was interrupted with the introduction of Earth. Fear struck through him. He realized he had not been doing what he was sent here to do. He didn't want to be torn away from this boy who fascinated him so. He wanted to know more, dig deeper into the boys head. How could someone live there whole life to die. He was going to die. Die. River couldn't imagine what that would be like. What would an after life be like? What if there wasn't one? what if you just ceased to exist. River felt overwhelmed with fear at the enduring questions. His hands shook as he looked up at Earth who was instead of fuming and screaming at him had only walked and greeted the Sacrifice.

River looked meekly at Earth. He didn't want to lose the job. He wanted nothing more than to crack the mind of the Sacrifice who seemed so... shallow... and yet, not.

Earth ignored him though. Hono was much more important, and he could yell at River any time. He brushed the cheek of the pale skinned boy lovingly. There was other reasons Earth had instilled a guard for the young man. Lately Earth had found himself irresistibly attracted to the Sacrifice. He was tempted to tell River to leave their presence and then try conning the Sacrifice into offering up his body to the head priest. It could be so easy. The boy was practically his puppet. However, he feared the repercussions on his people. "Hono, my child, are you sure you want to keep him as your guard he's so undutiful. If you want a friend we can get you one of those but you need a gaurd to protect your innocent body from... dirty perversions."

BIC: Earth looked at River inquisitively, the boy appeared to be nothing special, dumb and mindless much like all the other farmers who worked under Helio. However, he was amazingly big, and he knew that Hono was right. No one would come in here out of both fear of Hono and fear of River. The fifteen year old boy made even him weak in the knees. His large bronze shoulders were gleaming with sweat, and a look of childish innocence. It was hard to imagine someone as large as River being frightened of Earth. Earth assumed that it was because of his position under Helio, not because of his position over River.

Some where in the back of Earth's mind he was frightened of River for another reason. Hono and River... Fire and Water... opposites attract... Water can put out fire... but fire can also burn away water. If anyone was going to have Hono it would be the high priest not some lowly farm boy. Earth shook his head. No River was too frightened of the power of Helio to do such things. Earth refused his seat as politely as he could. He only came in to check the boys. Smoothly, Earth ran his hand over the body of the sheet wrapped Hono. Which he had been doing many years, even if the boy was unclothed, and told him it was a blessing from Helio. However, it was more like an excuse to touch the boy's flawless skin. He glazed at River who was giving him a curious look, almost questioning his actions. Earth stood up straight and removed his hand from the boy's thigh feeling a vague feeling of guilt. "River you better be a better guard or I'll have you replaced."

Earth walked out of the room hurriedly.

River looked at Hono, "Does he tough you like that often?" River felt that it just didn't seem right. His apprehensions about Priest Earth deepened.

River knew that he should go guard the door but he was too curious to leave Hono’s side. He shrugged off his duties and stood a little closer to the Sacrifice he looked at him curiously, “Do you like it? Doesn’t it feel weird or wrong? Earth is a man and he touches you as if you were a woman. His eyes looked at you as if you were his lover…are you?” River cocked his head to the side curiously. No one that he ever knew talked about men and men being lovers, however, once just after he turned ten he had stumbled across two boys not much older than he was now, laying in between the raspberry bushes, naked in each others’ kisses each other passionately, dicks erect. At the time it frightened him. Afraid that he had seen something evil that would cause him harm. Yet after that he had laid nights in bed fighting the urge to touch his private areas thinking about what he had seen. He would be evil too.

Yet as he looked at Hono it was harder to not feel those spikes of desire course through him. Even under the heavy tan he wore his blush was easy to see. He looked at the floor trying to hide his face and thoughts.
