Daughter Dearest [Kratos&Ri0T]

It was a cold saturday morning, reflecting on the cold outside since it was winter. Chloe loved it though. She preferred the cold over the heat. Right now, she was bundled up in her bed, laying on her stomach and under the warm comfortable comforter. She had on a weashirt underneath and striped pajama pants underneath. Her hair was tied up in a ponytail and she looked like she was dead asleep. Mouth slightly open, small wet spot of drool on her pillow.

Aww she was like the son her daddy never had. A couple of weeks ago she just turned sixteen. Unlike most girls, she didn't have some great big 'Sweet Sixteen' but celebrated it with her dad on the actual day and then a week later she had her hang with some friends. It was really fun and she got to share it with the people she loved instead of broadcasting the day she turned sixteen to a bunch of people she didn't even like. Not a big party fan.

As it turned 11:00 AM, her alarm went off to wake her up so she didn't sleep in all day. She groaned as a gentle hand smacked the snooze button and then turned her alarm off, she turning on her back and hidind under the covers. She wanted to sleep more but at the same time she wanted to wake up. Weekends with her Dad was awesome. She had a Mom, but she walked out on them when Chloe was five. Chloe hated her and never wanted to visit. She was a Daddy's girl only.

Each season had it's advantages .. Summer for example had it's downfall that it was almost to hot to do anything.. yet then there was a good thing to such a fact. Summer meant the time of swimming yet it was not summer at this moment, the weather reflecting what season it was, the cold winter breeze was the main thing announcing its harsh presence to everyone that was in this season this year, .. in fact this year was having some of the coldest temperatures it had recorded for particular dates.. writing new records.. yet the temperature did not bother him that much.

No instead of bothering him, he cherished the cold days... as it meant latter days at work.. less days at work.. since most of the times the roads would freeze over slightly causing no grip for tires meaning unsafe conditions.. and the family fire had never been more used in its history, the rugs also felt the same way.. His eyes looked over to the clock noticing he had slept in, it was fifteen minutes to eleven.. which meant soon his daughters alarm would go off soon, meaning she would be officially awake,.. without such an alarm she would sleep all day and wake light into the night,.. it made no sense how she did it.. and he envied that ability to sleep for so long.

Apart from her being his daughter, they were classified almost as best friends as well, The weekends were the best time of the week because he would spend all his time with his pride and joy, his daughter Chloe.. who had been close to him ever since finding out that their mum had just walked out and away from the pair of them abandoning them for some secretary of some big posh business... after that he never heard about her again, and Seth could not have been happier or asked for a better thing.

'I'm not gonna write you a love song, if you ask for it....' Played on the radio as her alarm went off. That's right! Chloe's alarm was her radio on full blast to wake the hard sleeper up. And by wake up, caused her to freak out slightly from the sudden loud noise and her hand come up and hit the snooze button immediately. There it left the teen in a shocked moment and her heart beating fast. As it subsided though, she sat up and groaned a bit, turning her alarm off completely and then standing up.

Once she did though, coldness ran through her completely causing her to run out of her room and all the way down the hall to her father's room and jump in bed with him. She cuddled to him and shivered some, taking in his body heat. "Morning Daddy." She yawned. Chloe had done this act for about a couple of weeks now on the weekends since it had gotten really chilly. Even though she was bundled up in a thick sweatshirt with a normal shirt underneath and warm pajama pants, she still got cold easily. It was odd how she easily attracted cold.

"I'm cold..." Her words shook from the cold, she curling up into him and keeping his warm blankets over her.

Seth although was awake, he was in no hurry to get up a smile crossing his face when he heard a pop song coming from his daughters room. That meant she was awake.. and she would soon be in his room. It was starting to become a bit of a routine for her, when it was really cold.. she would wake up and then come and join him in his warm bed as his blankets were more warmer. Seeing her enter his eyes closed just for now, so that she would think he was asleep.. a little game they played sometimes... were one would act as if they were still sleeping.

Feeling her nice and close a small sigh left him as he heard her sweet voice. "Morning Darlin" Since how cold things had became recently that was the reason why she would join him in the mornings, and the thing was... Well Seth did not mind it at all, hearing her voice again his blue eyes looked at her. "Well then.. keep nice and close" His arms then slipped around her holding nice and closely. Being so close to her generated some warmth, the blankets adding to it which would keep the two of them reasonably warm. "So what do you plan to do today Chloe" Usually the two of them made plans quite commonly especially on a weekend. Saturday was his favorite day.. Mainly for the reason that he would be able to spend the whole day with his daughter.

His hand slid to a remote on his dresser that then turned on a heater, It was a reverse flow aircon that had specially been designed to be ready for any season. It would warm up the room rather quickly but for now the two of them would have to stay nice and close like they were.

Chloe smiled warmly, keeping her eyes closed when her father bid her good morning. As he wrapped his arms around her, she cuddled more into him, instantly feeling so much warmth spread through her body since he was so warm. It wasn't fair. Her blankets were comforters, the fluffy kinds and should be so warm but they weren't since her room attracted so much cold, even worse, she attracted so much cold. Not fair...

Opening her eyes since she was beginning to wake up completely, she sighed softly and rubbed her hands together to create a heat between them so they would go from freezing cold to warm. "Hmm...I don't know. What do you want to do today?" She asked. Eventually her entire body had warmed up and she was able to move from a lying down position to a sitting position and looked down at him. She brought her knees to her chest and put her hands in her pockets.

"Daddyyyy...wake up." She whined, pushing him to wake up. SHe never did annoy him since it was a new thing but it was fun. SO long she didn't actually push him over the edge of the bed which she was trying her hardest not to do right now.

With the extra added warmth his eyes began to shut a little, although now he was just pretending to be asleep again on Chloe, the two of them had many games between each other.. and well the warmth was rather nice the heater finally starting to kick in as the room started to lose the chill that was surging through it.. the heat a nice embrace on the pair of them. Hearing her voice he did not answer, just to make it seem that he had dozed off again and since she moved, Seth probably would not be able to sleep again, yet the way she was on him.. well he easily could have slept into a light sleep.

Hearing her voice again and feeling her push him his eyes opened before gently laughing his arms slipped around her before lightly tickling her "One can play at that sort of game Chloe" A smile was spread wide on his face as his hands continued to tickle and occasionally lightly poke before releasing her after about ten minutes of his playful response. This whole week he had not responded much to her morning routine yet today felt like mixing things up a little "well my sweet daughter.. I thought today I would let you decide what we are doing"

His smile still remained as he sat up completely stretching up a little. That heater is really working.. although I think next to her.. was more warm... His deep blue eyes continued to watch waiting for Chloe's answer, Seth wanted her to do what she wanted to do.. as most weeks he would decide and felt it was her turn to decide. As long as it was with her.. he would not mind doing anything.

When he started to tickle her, she started squirming around in his arms, laughing a lot. "Ahhh...stopp!" She giggled and since he was doing that for about ten minutes, once he was done she was laying on her back breathing hard. HEr pants rode up a little bit as well as her sweatshirt and shirt underneath showing her stomach a little bit. She sighed nad sat up, fixing herself and looking at him. "You're funny Dad. Really really funny..." She said sarcastically, rolling her eyes.

Soon enough she did feel the warmth spread around the room and it wasn't very cold anymore. It was warm enough that she was able to take her sweatshirt off showing she was wearing a loose normal white shirt. Bringing her knees to her chest she wrapped her arms around them and looked at her dad. 'Hmmm...what can we do? How can I torture my lovely Daddy...?" She thought out loud, only messing with him. SHe put a finger on her lip and made a look like she was thinking deeply. After about thirty seconds she shruggged. "I don't know, I got nothing."

"You think of something." She said pushing him a little bit, pouting. "Pweaseeee...?"

He loved how ticklish she was, it was her main weakness.. her sensitivity but it was pretty common for most girls, well to some degree some were a lot more ticklish then others like Chloe who seemed to react to the smallest of touches. He had caused her clothes to shift a little by the way she had moved around and squirmed to try and partially escape. Something his daughter was good at was being sarcastic.. a small laugh escaped him as he heard her brilliant use of the art she had mastered.

He looked at her as he continued to sit up the room was nice now, the vest thing he had ever done was install the reverse cycle aircon that was good for all seasons. He pretended to have a shocked look on his face when she did not think of anything he smiled before seeing her pout and saying that he had to choose "Nope, I decided this day you can choose... and so what you choose is what we are going to do" He smiled at her, Seth would help her if she could not think of anything by either giving suggestions or eventually choosing the possible ideas of the day.

Hearing him say that he wouldn't choose, she started whine. It was hard to believe that she was sixteen. "Daddy...please please please please please? Pretty please. With a cherry on top?" She asked cutely, batting her eyelashes cutely and giving another pout. "Pwease...I'll love you forever and ever and ever and promise that you can walk me down the aisle when the time comes and even stand next to me as the minister marries me and whoever I marry...." Doing anything she can to convince him to just choose what they would do that day since he had good ideas and she never seemed to complain either.

Chloe kept the face and stopped batting her eyelashes but she had that super adorable look taht she known for with her father, that look that could make him give into anything since she was his only daughter, his baby, his little angel who was very devious to get whatever she wanted from her daddy. Talk about spoiled.

If someone saw how Chloe was acting now they would doubt her age, for her age of 16 sometimes she acted twelve if not younger, it gave her a sort of innocence that he loved about her. What she was doing right now was her method of getting anything she wanted and it worked almost every single time. It was not really any Seth could do, once she struck that face.. she looked so cute, and it was hard not to give her what she wanted. "I guess.. this time Angel.. but sometime that look won't work.." A smile crossed his face before he begin to think a little.

"Well since it is so cold.. Maybe we can go skiing if the snow is thick enough.." Even if their was not snow around them, there was a ski resort he had in mind that during this time of year was really good for this sort of thing "Or.. we can stay inside in our warmth and watch movies together.." They were all he could think of at the moment and the second option was sounding the best as the cold was almost to the point of unbearable and well Chloe.. she seemed to feel coldness even more then him.. "So what do you choose Chloe?"

Hearing him give in, she giggled and clapped her hands together, kissing his cheek. "I love you Daddy." She smiled and then sat back listening to his proposition. SHe waited for his idea. They tended to be really good, really fun and a lot better than idea she woudl have ever suggested. As he suggested skiiing, in her mind she was going on and on about how she'd never have thougth of that since her first thought would have been something inside the house rather outside.

"That sounds fun. They have some really good jumps and slopes up at that one resort. What's it called?' She asked tapping her lip forgetting the name of it. She liked to both skii and snowboard, though snowboarding she was still new at, skiing being something she had done since forever because her dad taught her. Helped her through all the falls and broken limbs and drops. Scary times. Good, but scary...

Seth sometimes wish she actually meant those words in another way, were it was not just loving him because he was her father, but because he was something more.. yet those sort of thoughts were shoved aside quickly as their was no point thinking of what would not happen, that was for dreams instead. He really did like the first option, and the pair of them would ski together here and there, in fact he even remembered the days were he began to teach Chloe how to do such a thing. Such fun days still existed with her around anyhow.

"Well recently it was renamed to Hanzu Ski resort.. as their was a change in ownership, although from what I have heard the name change was the only change.." Because his daughter seemed to like jumps and tricks, he taught her as much as he could.. and then she seemed to learn by herself.. at the cost of a few bones here and there that healed over time, the numerous times he had to carry her to the nearest doctor, or to the car and then drive Chloe to the hospital "Well.. when you want to go, best get some warm clothes on.. and then into the car we go.."

Chloe was sixteen. A teenager. The stereotypical teenager is someone who hangs out with their friends a lot, wold rather party then study, would skip school and take teenage rebellion as their profession. The stereotypical female teenager should nad would be all gaga over boys and be boy crazy and wish for a boyfriend. That's what a person would think Chloe ought to do but she didn't. She hung out with her dad. She loved him. More than any normal daughter should, and it was like htat for a reason.

Nodding to hi, she smiled and got off the bed. "i'm gonna go get ready." She kissed his cheek and then skipped off going to her room. She pulled out her ski clothes which was about three layers of shirts, two layers of pants and then a big poofy jacket, as well as the usual accesories; a hat, gloves and goggles if necessary. Then in the garage were her skii boots as well as her skiis. Her babies and then she always rented a snowboard.

She went in for a shower first and after about ten fifteen minutes, comng out with a towel around her body, she went into her room again and shut the door putting on undergarments and then the layering began. She always felt like an overstuffed marshmallow after this.

Their were feelings that he felt for Chloe that were still untold, he wanted to tell her but was scared that it was scare her away. Seth loved her more then he should a daughter, he actually wanted her by his side, to be with him but above all that he wanted their love to go to the next level beyond what a daughter and father were meant to go, He knew his daughter had feelings for him a little unlike any daughter should have for her father but did not know if they were as strong as his own.. and he did not want to scare her by coming on to her to strongly.

"Ok then, Since I had a shower as I went to bed last night I can just get dressed" He had a very similar outfit to hers, with about the same amount of layers the only real difference is his was designed for males and a different color. His own ski boots sat next to hers as did his ski's. Whilst waiting for her he got completely ready except the boots and ski's and then walked down to the stairs turning around upon hearing the shower stop and seeing his daughter just in a towel...

That aroused a few thoughts yet he decided not to say anything yet, he actually planned on finally telling her today and decided after skiing would be the best time. Once she was dressed and came down to get her boots he almost tackle hugged her to the ground before smiling "As you can see I am ready.. all you need is your boots, I put your ski's in the car"

It was unnatural for a daughter to love her dad the way she could to any other male or even a female, depending which one she prefferred most. But chloe loved her father more than just as a daughter who was close with her dad. This was more. Although it may not be as much as her father loved her[though sh was oblivious to it] she wished it could be more but to her it felt lke it wasn't possible. She was definitely so not ont he same page as he was as to what would happen if they were open about their feelings. She was sixteen and since he was father, she already had it set out that it wouldn't happen because of that biological relation.

Once she was dressed, she kept her hair untied for now and just walked downstairs. Though once she did, she was greeted by her dad who tackled hugged her, causng her to fall to the ground. She giggled and looked up at him. "Thanks. Luckily the layers broke my fall. do I look like a marshmallow?"She asked with a small yet cute smile as she looked up at him.

Sometime today he planned to tell her, and would not let anything hold him back, he could not help but feel these feelings so it was about time to tell his daughter since he could not just stop feeling them, and if it regarded her she deserved to know, after skiing.. that would be when he would tell her, it would be the best time as they would have some fun together on the slopes, and the head home were he could express the way he felt in hope that Chloe felt slightly like that at least.. well so he hoped anyhow yet if she pushed away from him.

Well he had to take the chance and tell her, otherwise it would never come out.. and secrets were no good if held onto for to long, a smile crossing his face hearing her comment as he had actually made her fall "You look sorta like one and you felt like one when we fell," His smile still existed as they began to go to the car once she had her boots on her feet that was.

It was a big day that day. A lot of honesties coming soon. It was like a big soap opera, full of drama and it always tended to happen after such a good thing. A lot of information to soak up. Woah...

Putting on her boots, she walked out with him and headed to the car, blushing at his response. "Great. Now I'm fat. I knew I hated this outfit. Thanks Dad..." Female drama. The correct answer should have been, 'No you don't sweetheart. You look just fine the way you are. So if you fall when skiing or snowboarding, you're padded and won't get hurt as much. You look just fine!' That was the correct answer. Now she felt fat, bloated and ugly in front of her dad since that was what mattered more. SHe didn't care if she looked fat around any other guy since her father was the only one that mattered.

Upon seeing he had said the wrong thing his hand came up and hit his head before he walked up and put his hands on her shoulders "I did not mean for you to take that in a bad way... I am sorry if it made you feel bad" His intention had just been as a bit of a joke yet she had taken it as if he was serious and well she seemed to be very dramatic now. "I just want you to know, no matter what you are wearing, your still daddies little angel... and I will love you no matter what... because you look perfect in everything" It was a bit of a long shot to try and come back with such a comment but he did not like to see her like this,

Once he got into the car, she looked at him and bit her lower lip. As he reassured her, she nodded and then smiled, hugging him. "Thank you Daddy. I love you. I'm sorry I got angry." She said softly, kissing his cheek and then sat back, instantly back into her cheery and chipper mood. She bounced back way to quick. Kind of odd but true. "So lets go Skiing! Ooh, can you rent me a snowboard there too? I need to like get my groove back on when it comes to snowboarding." She laughed a bit, buckling herself up. So excited!

Hearing her sound a lot more happier now he sighed in relief before speaking "It is okay, we all have little outbursts sometime... I said the wrong thing so it is my fault" Upon saying that he heard hr next part as the car started "Of course, I may even get on one.. I mean I am to good on a snowboard but It will give you something to laugh about as I tackle small slopes" A smirk crossing his face at the idea. Now that they were ready he started the car before driving it towards the area he had planned to drive to. The ski resort.. one of the favorite places for both of them.

Chloe laughed some and nodded. "Yeah that'd be funny to watch actually so long you don't break any bones lke I did and do from snowboarding. I dont want to see my Daddy in pain." She frowned, putting her hand on his for a breif moment then taking it back. she sat back and sighed softly, eager to get to the ski resort. one of the best resorts for skiing, hanging, snowboarding, and simply playing in the snow out of the way of the boarders and skiiers.

"So...seeing any women lately? Should I be preparing myself to call some woman 'Mom?'" She asked. She didn't pry much into ehr father's personal personal life. it was sot of her way to see if he was seeing anyone that she didn't know about and such. Find out whats going on in his life that doesn't really revolve around her. They both needed breathing space you know! She at least didn't coordinate her schedule at all or to spend every waking second with her Dad. They'd both get sick of each other...

Seth winced as Chloe mentioned the painful parts, they were something he also did not want to happen and it had been bad enough seeing her go through the pain. He did not want to feel such a thing but he was only going to do small slopes to begin with and no try anything to fancy or else he could actually injure himself like the numerous injuries Chloe had received from a few of her stacks alone. Hearing her question a blush appeared, such a question he had not prepared to have been asked yet he would not respond.

Usually she seemed to avoid such personal questions "No one so far, I have looked a little but am starting to believe I might not find.." The car continued to drive before finally parking in a spare parking bay. Like usual it looked packed yet the line meant nothing to the pair of the, as they had vip cards since they came here so often and she had been here since about the age of five or seven when he first showed her how to ski. "well then lets go rent ourselves a board.."

Chloe smiled a bit, more to herself though, as he said there was no one. Seeing though as he had no hope though, it kind of threw her way off course since she felt taht he'd never feel that way about her, as more than a daughter. She could only hope but from taht statement, it didn't seem like he was or would ever be interested in her. It was foolish to even hope since he is her father, but there's always hope. She would still hope even if it never would happen. She wanted only him.

As they arrived to the ski lodge, sh e saw how packed it was and a sudden cockiness came over to her since they had VIP passes making them go past the lines bcause of it. Hopping out of the car she got their skiis out and walked over to him and smiled. "Lets go. I want that one snowboard with the blue lining. It has the best design and it's like one of a kind and perfect for snowboarding." She felt like such a guy sometimes and a lot of times when she talked about snowboards like that.

The truth was Seth had feelings for Chloe that he thought about a lot, the only thing that put him off was the fact she was his daughter and might push away as that sort of thing could scare her.. if he had known she felt the same way he would have acted already and told her of his feelings, yet she had shown a love for him, but it seemed only a daughters love, not the passion and desire of a lover.. that was actually in her for him. Today Seth was going to tell her, but today was far from over and had plenty of time, he just knew not to put it of or it would not happen. That and something about today made it feel like the correct time almost like that time when he had asked out her mother.. yet now all he cared about was their daughter.. she meant more to him then that deserting cow ever could.

Hearing her start on about her snowboard he could not help but smile, little did she know that soon it was her birthday and that exact board had been arranged as her present.. and since her birthday was creeping up in a few days.. well he was sure she would like such a gift. Yet he gave no hints about her present the one thing her look as such had not been able to get out of him. "It is going to be hard to pick one for me.. maybe you can help?" He smirked knowing that Chloe would have to teach him how to use it, he had an idea about it but would still need help and advice.

Although she had feeling for him, she never wanted to come off as she did with the uncertainty of whether or not he felt the same. And since she felt he didn't, she showed no other love but that of a daughter to her father love. She had other crushes. Crushed on guys her own age and from school but none were...men. SHe liked older guys--obviously. And men. Her father was both but not too old. For the father of a sixteen year old, he was still really hot and young.

Walking into the ski lodge, sh e smiled at him and sighed. "Well you're only a beginner so they may give you the kiddy board." She patted his shoulder, teasing him and messing around with him. She even said that in that cute way an adult would talk to a baby.
