Boy do I hate Gaia. Various Reasons, Mods Suck... used to be a corrupt system.

I'm permabanned on so many levels, and yet I still sift through it, pretty funny.

That does suck. Gaia is really going down hill. It used to be pretty good. Now I don't know. I hardly go on it, of course I am busy but even still I would barely go on it.

My distaste of gaia is that they migrated away from the main intention of role playing. For some reason I thought gaia came on to furfill those ideas. Though in reality it has opened up a door for newbs to become better from leaving gaia and going into the outside world internetz. I think I have met some that are in progress. Before role playing was hard to come by, now there are lots of people that do it. I thank and not thank gaia. They made a new generation and yet unsuccessfuly educate them on how. I think even the MSN Chat service from a long time ago did a better job. Then again I was young back then and don't know if I would think the same if I was able to go in. Anyway, Gaia has earned my ire or distaste and likeing. Though in the end it got boring. lol.

1) Says nothing about no limit romance, smut (in a positive sense), or cybering (in a positive sense).
2) Clearly said I only did shota due to having premade younger characters, and enjoying playing them.
3) Says CLEARLY no cybering.

And notice the thread's still up.

I've been off and on with it for awhile now. Maybe I'm not putting as much into it anymore, and that's why I don't get anything out of it. But oh well. Lucky for me they never checked my PMs. I'd be banned quick fast in a hurry. I remember when the Personals were active. Laughing

Gaia used to be cool. Then they came out with all this useless crap for it and it moved away from a true, cool forum with some perks added to it. Y'know like the avi's and the shops where luxury items barely broke the 50k line. And traveling between towns. I mean, the teleporter is cool but no one ever uses the map anymore. I loved that feature!

That's not even getting into the issue of the quality of the forums or members anymore. Like when the GD actually had proper conversation or the spam was sorta like the Ghetto of Gaia, but still a cool place to hang around in.

Lanzer has turned Gaia into a whore, and he has become it's pimp.

Sad thing is I have a net worth of about 30 million on Gaia and after discovering this place I'm wondering if I'm gonna go back to it. I'm still debating if I should keep my items until the battle system or just forget it.

I know. I got a nitemare headband once in a giftbox. I used it, had fun with it, and sold it for about 40K, thinking I got a great deal on it. Looking at the market place now makes me cry.

I do enjoy Gaia.

I've found some amazing roleplayers there.
And for this reason, I won't be looking for any on this site just yet.

I find the levels of courtesy among roleplayers on Gaia to be completely different than they were on Darker, and they are on Blue Moon. A roleplay is so much likelier to be dropped after a single post, and there isn't the need to maintan reputation there so much so people just don't bother. Infuriating. To be honest I've found about 5 or 6 good partners through Gaia, but there's sooooooo much sifting through the chaff involved to dig 'em out! And one of them was a fellow Darkerite that I ran into! Drives me bonkers. I'll stick to Gaia for a while, though, if only to maintain the roleplays I have going. I won't be starting any new ones there, not for a long time.

And don't get me started on the commercialism. That's a whole other rant for a whole other day.
