Trygon (God of Cruelty, Black Dragon) -

(We'll discuss 'classic' Trygon here. Like most things on Gaia, I had to overpower this character there just to hold my own against godmodders.)

Trygon is a semi-sane egoist who firmly believes that the strong should be top of the pecking order in everything, and cares very little for your 'civilization' or 'laws', thank-you very much. He's not amazingly intelligent by nature, but he's lived a long time, and spent that time watching and trying to learn. This has given him a sort of sneaking intellect, but he's still no genius. Trygon is not hostile by default - You have to do something to irritate him, but the list of annoyances is a mile long. To keep his respect, one must typically be smart, be mature, and be flawlessly respectful and humble towards Try. These criteria ease the more powerful Trygon thinks someone is. The few creatures he's met that genuinely intimidated him showed that the dragon has the capacity to be a diplomat and secure allies on an unusual level, considering it's a skill he never uses.

Try has two shapes he typically employs. Depending on mood, he can display any state between the shapes. He's been known to keep wings and tail while otherwise looking totally human, or sometimes maintaining his claws for combat.

Trygon uses this shape for social interactions only, due to the marked weakness as opposed to his draconic shape. He's about 6', with hair nearly that long. His eyes are bright yellow and slitted, identical to his draconic shape.

Combat, intimidation, or setting fires, this is Trygon's normal MO. 10' with neck fully extended, and covered in dragonscale about as strong as you'd expect, Trygon's black hulk has been the last sight of many would-be heros and villains. He weighs upwards of 800 pounds, despite his slim build, due to the density of his scale. You also probably shouldn't armwrestle with him. He maintains his talons with the care any warrior uses with their weapons, and he's filed a blade into the thick scales on the back of this tail. Additionally, his teeth range from one inch to three, and all are quite sharp and rather versatile, mounted on a long, serpentine neck as they are. All combined, this makes Trygon a critter that's pointy on all ends.

History - Trygon is the displaced God of Cruelty, at least in his mind. While it's true he's one of the Sons of Tiamat, he never had much power to speak of among his siblings, and his eventual casting out lessened even that. But what's negligible to a god is world-shaking to mortals, and so Trygon prowls among them now, collecting the worship and chaos that he so strongly desires. It's worth noting that as a Fallen, Trygon has amassed more worship and notice then he had as a God, and these are the things Celestial beings run on, making his exact power hard to gauge.

(I'll fill out details later, probably when I write up Nicholas' profile.)
