Kai knocked on the door to his girlfriend's house, having invited himself and not taking no for an answer. Their relationship wasn't as good as it seemed on the outside anymore. Currently the people who knew were few, most likely just he, his girlfriend and possibly her sister whom saw them around the house when they let out their irks. He wanted her to spend more time with him, to do as he asked, and she had other things in mind, her own life for example. She wanted her own freedom. Well, he was showing her more and more that she wasn't going to have any of that, and his use of force was growing.

He was around 6'1, a black hair'd asian male. He seemed pretty skinny but did work out, and sometimes of course... using that strength against his girlfriend ended normally in her submission. Although it seemed she didn't learn her lesson the first or second times around. Oh yes, she very consistently rebelled and every time he had to put her back in her place. But he was making progress, always making progress.

Then, there was the situation of her younger sister, which he seemed to now get a glance of more and more now that she was in high school and sometimes wandering around the house at the same hours. She, unfortunately, came off as a forbidden item, his girlfriend's sister and pure little angel at that. He had resisted any urges off for quite a while but tonight, things would get out of hand.

Layna sat at her desk upstairs, leaned forward over a history textbook, her foot gently swinging back and forth with her legs crossed. She'd turned off her phone, taken the batteries out of the house phone in her room and hadn't turned on her computer all day - she had to get some of this work done. Kai's insistance on spending time with her so often had started to put her behind on a large project that was due next week. Never one to turn something in late, Layna and begun to panic. Suddenly roused from the relatively stimulating read of her book, she heard the light knock on the door. Her room was the first up the stairs and to the left and she had her door open, so it was easy to hear.

Her heart sank - who else would it have been? She heard her sister shuffled toward the door and then heard her stop to unlock it. There would still be a locked screen door between Taylor and Kai when she opened the heavy wooden door, painted to match the shutters on the house. "... Oh. It's you," she said flatly, sneering quietly at him, not bothering to open the door. She'd seen the way he'd treated Layna a few times and while Layna refused to admit that Kai had struck her, Taylor was suspicious.

Layna tried to go back to her reading but was suddenly beckoned downstairs by her sister. "Layna... He's here," she said, not bothering to even mention Kai's name. Taylor walked away without opening the door and moved into the family room where she could see the door and hear them over the soft murmur of the TV - she was worried about her sister. Layna sighed and suddenly appeared at the top of the stairs, then made her way down. Swallowing back, she put her hand on the lock for the screen door and looked at him, feigning a smile. "Hun, I told you I had a lot of school work to catch up on..." she tried, hoping maybe, for once, he'd back off.

He watched as first Taylor answered the door and he smiled to her as he looked her over, although he knew she hated that sort of thing. Heh, she of course was the forbidden fruit of the family, and having her was something that while he knew was far away... he didn't completely put it out of his mind. Of course, there were a couple of obstacles, including the fact that he could tell she absolutely couldn't stand him. But she was young, and if he got his way, it was very possibly soon enough he could get to know here a lot better than he did before.

When Layna came to the door and unlocked it, he opened it with the click as he moved over and wrapped his arm around her shoulder before he came in without allowing her any chance to say no. "I know I know. Listen, we need to talk though. I'll let you catch up on your work I promise. I don't break my promises right?" He asked her as he kissed her on the cheek in order to get her a little holming up to him. He really did like her but, he was also someone whom was very hard to please, and didn't have a problem with 'disciplining' her.

Of course, that also meant hitting her now and again. But he normally made up. He knew what she liked, and was observant unlike many others. Of course, that and also he could very easily quiet her by just getting her into bed, something that he had taught her first, something that he knew he could get her to come back to him for. Sure, maybe he put her down sometimes to make her feel like he was the only one but... well, it wasn't like anyone would figure something like THAT out right?

Layna had known he'd come in, even uninvited, but it had been worth a try. Smirking softly at him and watched as he spoke, leaning into the kiss with her cheek a little. Sighing, she nodded at him, tossing her brown curls around a little before turning around and making sure both doors were closed. From the other room Taylor only half watched the TV - or at least it looked like she was kinda watching. Really she was studying Kai. He had some sort of awkward affection toward her, she could tell that much, but Taylor despised him. Scoffing slightly when he charmed Layna into letting him stay for a bit, she got up from the couch and went into the kitchen instead.

"No, I s'pose you don't..." she murmured, kissing the corner of his mouth with a slightly hesitant affection. She sighed internally - first of all she had no idea what he wanted to talk about and secondly she knew she had a lot of work to do, more than she had originally thought. The only hope she had was that whatever he had to talk to her about would be done quickly. Truthfully, Layna almost felt like they needed a little time apart. But every time he did something wrong, he came back and was so much nicer to her - he really wasn't a bad guy. She'd convinced herself of that.

Layna watched Taylor for a second, knowing how she felt about Kai. With a sigh she turned back to her boyfriend and looked him over quickly. "What do we need to talk about?" she asked, tilted her head at a gentle angle. She leaned back against the banister of the stairs, glancing up as if she expected someone to be up there or something. Resting one hand on her hip she yawned quietly and ran her other, free, hand through her hair.

He kissed her on the cheek before he looked over to Taylor as Layna looked to her as he sighed just a little bit as he ran his hand along her hair. "Listen, I don't really think we should do this here hmm? Let's go up to you room." He told her before he moved to help move her upstairs. Once in her room he moved to close her door, but didn't lock it. He looked at all the stuff was in her room, that she really needed to do her work. But of course, that wasn't what really mattered.

Kai already spotted her cell phone which was off and the house phone in her room off. And with that, he slapped her quite hard in the face. He did it with the back of his hand, so although it wasn't too loud, it sure would snap her head back if she wasn't ready. "Layna, look at what you did. I can't even believe you. If you wanted to just study, then you could have told me no? Turning off your cell phone, the home phone." He narrowed his eyes at her, but didn't push her any further. Not yet at least.

Layna was a bit weary of going upstairs with him but slowly she moved behind him, mostly being tugged. Once in her room she watched him close the door. "So wha-" she started but suddenly felt the crack of his hands against her cheek. She recoiled a step and put her opposite hand up to cup her cheek, wincing slightly before looking up at him. "What the fuck, Kai..." she muttered, looking around the room at her cell phone and room phone, both of which were off. Swallowing back she took another step, steadying herself with one hand on the corner of her desk a bit.

"I did... Tell you," she said, looking up at him, taking a deep breath. "I didn't turn them off... Just because of you," she said, taking a deep breath. Layna wasn't really lying to him - he was the main reason why she'd turned them off, but other people would call or text her. So really, she wasn't lying, though her eyes lowered a little bit. "I'm sorry, Kai..." she muttered quietly, swallowing back and finally taking her hand from her face, clenching her jaw slightly and gripping the edge of the desk. "What... Did we have to talk about?" she questioned him, hoping maybe he'd leave her to her work soon if she urged on the conversation, ignoring the pain moving through her cheek.

Oh, she wasn't pulling something like that on him. Definitely not, that wasn't something he would take from his girlfriend. His hand moved quickly to her neck now as he moved to squeeze a little as well as pulled her up just a little, although at first he had used a little too much strength then he had wanted as he lightened up a little so not to choke her or anything like that. "Layna, I don't like when you lie to me. Don't make excuses, and don't try that again on me at all. We're talking right now Layna. I had a hunch, but I can only doubt for so long Layna.".

He stood there for a couple of more minutes before he finally let her down and sighed a little as he shook his head. "You know what? Fine. You want to end this so badly that you take batteries out of a phone, we're done." He told her as he moved to walk out the door, clearly pissed off at everything that had just transpired.

Watching him, she tried to back up but was more or less cornered against the bookshelf. She sputtered and coughed a bit when he gripped her neck so hard, her breathing shallow as he spoke and squeezed. Her eyes fluttered slightly and she looked down at him, scanning over his face. When he finally let her down she gasped a bit, putting her own hand on the spot. She was so concentrated on the feeling that she almost didn't realize he was speaking. Suddenly her head snapped up and she stared as he said they were over... Was he serious?

Apparently he was seeing as he started to leave the room. She just stood for a second in awe until she sprung into action, seeing he'd already made it down a few stairs. Then she stood in her doorway a second before moving toward him, trying to catch him. "K-Kai... Wait... Wait, please," she said, reaching out to grab his arm. Realizing her possible mistake she withdrew it and held it up to her lips. "Don't go... I didn't mean to make you upset..." she said, slipping quickly between him and the front door, pressing her back to it.

"I'm sorry, Kai... I-I don't want it to be over," she said, tracing her eyes over his face. Despite what he did to her, something inside her told her she had to stay with him - nothing would be better than him. He's a good guy, he's a good guy... Don't lose him, don't lose him... she repeated to herself like a broken record. Meanwhile, Taylor sat up in the couch and craned her head around a little, watching shamelessly from the family room now.

Kai listened as she said wait but he kept moving. However, he stopped immediatly when he saw Taylor watching shamelessly. Well, he was actually going to draw this out more, but with Taylor watching, he didn't want to give her any evidence of anything. It was nice that of course, Layna didn't scream out or bruise too easily but then again having such a little nosy sister was quite annoying. He looked back at her and moved and pushed her lightly back into her room. He closed her door again as he sighed before knocking her very lightly on the head, as if she was just a kid.

"Listen, I ... I'm sorry, but I hate being lied to. I'll let you study, but you have to give me a chance. Am I that bad that you can't even tell me the truth anymore?" He asked, but of course, was twisting it as if it were her fault. Sure, it was a certain part of her that clearly loved him but also, he baited her a lot. However, the more he thought about it the more he could now see Taylor's face there. one way to find out of course... "Listen... you seem like you're acting differently. Is there any reason why you would do something like this to me now? Anything?" He was attempting to see if she would possibly give him a hint if someone suspected their relationship was rocky.

She moved right back into her room with him, swallowing back and wincing when he knocked her in the head - it hadn't hurt, but she was expecting it to. She listened to him speak and sort of hung her head like a dog getting scolded would. His tone wasn't threatening anymore, but it held a vague sense of ownership to it. He was playing mind games with her, convincing her that this was her fault, that she had in fact been lying to him. "No, Kai, I just..." she said reaching out to grab his hands, shaking her head. Looking up at him her brow furrowed slightly as she tried to understand his question.

"Differently?" she questioned, not sure exactly how she was acting. "I don't... I don't think so... I mean, I feel fine..." she said, absent-mindedly reaching up and rubbing her cheek softly. "Taylor doesn't like you and she's been bringing it up more recently..." she said, shrugging her shoulders softly as she rubbed up his arms a bit. "I'm not sure why..." she said, wiggling her nose softly. Taylor hadn't said anything specifically about knowing that Kai had become abusive, at least not yet.

He knew it. That was what was happening wasn't it? "Has she now. And you? What have you said to her then?" He asked her as he embraced her too. He kissed her on the forehead as his own hand touched her cheek and her neck before he checked whether she would bruise or not. He knew he had done a number on her neck at least, and he hadn't gotten that mad at her in a while. He then looked back over to her things before he sighed a little bit as he moved away from her embrace before he plopped onto her bed.

"You know what? Don't worry about it. I trust you still Layna." He compliemented her just a little.... but figured he couldn't continue to keep an eye on her. She'd have to make up her mind eventually... so he'd have to perhaps leave this place with her happy. She'd have to continue to think of him as treating her well, else Taylor could potentially change her mind. He wasn't sure what the other girl had evidence of, and now that he thought about it... he had seen her sneaking around before.

"I just told her it wasn't any of her business..." she said quietly, watching as he moved away. For a second she thought she may have angered him again, but his expression seemed much more solemn this time. Slowly she followed him, moving to sit down next to him, sitting on one of her feet as the other dangled over the side of the bed, swinging softly. "I really am sorry, Kai..." she whispered, leaning her chin down on his shoulder from behind, glancing at him quickly before she picked her head up off his shoulder and leaned back against the wall.

He had her wrapped around his finger. Hearing that he trusted her, she smiled a bit and nodded softly, trailing a few of her fingers down his back slowly before she put her hand back on the bed. "That means a lot..." she said quietly, fighting off the little voice in her head that insisted he was lying.

Taylor fumed a bit in the living room downstairs, gritting her teeth a little. She knew her sister was in trouble, but how to show her that she wasn't sure. After Kai leaves, she thought to herself, I'll bring it up, see what she says...

Taylor only hoped it was that simple, but somehow knew it wouldn't be.

"You don't have to be so sorry. Listen, just keep yourself in contact with me, and I'll, maybe leave you to your work more often okay? you're my girl, remember that." He told her before he moved to kiss her, in an attempts to remove the last remaining doubt from her mind that there was anything other than love in his intentions. It was a long and quite romantic kiss, something that he had picked up being with her for so long. It seemed to do wonders at times, and he didn't overuse it.

He then patted her on the back and pointed at her things. "Well, don't you have some studying to do! I'll leave you too it. Leave you phone on kay?" He asked of her as he stood up and then kissed her lightly one more time, before he began to leave. He didn't really want to intrude any further on her time, and felt like he had given her enough happiness to end off with and he didn't want to make it any worse. He opened the door before turning back to her. "Love ya hun, tell me when you're finished." He finished off before he walked down the steps and towards the front door.

As he was opening it, he looked over to Taylor and gave her a little grin. I dare ya to try to pull her away from me. Sorry, but your sister is no longer going to automatically side with you. I'll pull her away inch by inch. He thought to himself before he opened the door and let himself out.

Layna looked at him and smiled, returning the soft kiss and lifting her hand to his cheek during it, stroking his cheek gently with her thumb. When he pulled away she smiled softly and nodded as he hoped off the bed. "I'll turn it on," she said quietly, watching as he moved farther and closer to the door. She breathed deeply, a little sad to see him go, though she knew it was for the best because she had so much work to do. Sighing softly she slid off her bed and walked toward her desk, nodding to him as he left. "I love you too, Kai... I'll call you when I'm done for the day," she said and smiled softly as he left, plopping down in her desk chair. She stared for a good minute at her phone before picking it up and turning it on, watching as the keypad lit up and it made a cheerful noise, clicking a few times.

Taylor heard someone coming down the stairs and she watched as Kai came into view. That grin he gave her was unsettling and she sneered at him, not caring if he saw or not. He'd be nuts to touch her. Taylor then reached over and dialed the number of someone that both of them trusted. They'd been friends with him for a long time and she hoped that if he and her approached Tesla about what Taylor was suspicious of she might 'see the light', so to speak. When she finally heard someone on the other line, she spoke quickly as if to emphasize the urgency. "Hey, it's me," she said like everyone else, expecting the person on the other end of the phone to recognize her voice. "I need you to come over here... It's kind of important. You got the time?"

Elena picked up her phone after a couple of rings as she hummed to herself. However, when she heard Taylor on the other line sounding a little urgent, she sort of stopped what she was doing and listened. Immediately of course, she moved and slid down the railing of her stairs as she put on a light pink jacket and slipped on some comfy shoes as she kept the phone at her ear. "Yeah yeah of course Taylor! I'll be there before you hang up, Tata~!" She told her as she quickly opened her door before she began to jog over all of the three houses away that Taylor and Layna lived from her.

She rapped on the door lightly figuring that Taylor would already by at or near the door already as she began to go over in her mind what this could be all about. She had gotten urgent calls from Taylor which were sometimes just fun little giggly surprises... and other times of course, something serious. This sounded like the ladder, and Elena really hoped her intuition was wrong.

Taylor was pacing in the hallway a bit, spinning her cellphone on her fingers as she did. Finally hearing the tapping on the door she breathed out and went to let Elena in. Seeing her there she smiled and moved out of the way, making her own way toward the living room, sort of to debrief her on the situation. She glanced up the stairs to see Layna's door cracked open before sitting down on the couch and patting the seat next to her for Elena to sit down in.

"Sorry that was so eerie, didn't mean for it to be," she said, though she sort of had. "There is something serious going on, though, I think," she continued, taking a deep breath. She thought for a second before opening her mouth to speak once again. "I think Layna and Kai are having problems," she blurted out - a little less refined than she wanted it to be. "I mean, I don't like Kai, but... I think that..." she hesitated for a second, glancing at the other girl. "I think he might be hitting her... If not, he's probably gotten close. He's definitely playing games with her head... He's always... Yelling at her, always trying to control her..."

Taylor exhaled and stared at the carpet for a minute. "I don't know if you've noticed it when you've been around them... I'm really worried about her. She's really into him, though... She fell hard and won't let go."

Elena smiled as she was let in and hung her coat over the couch as she sat down right where Taylor had patted her to sit. She listened intently to what she had to say, before she was a little wary of this. Her opinion on the two was a little more neutral than Taylor. Of course, she didn't have much evidence of this either, but sure... she saw them arguing sometimes, and more than that, had seen him do some strange things to Layna. She thought about it for a bit, attempting to be a good mediator before she spoke.

"Well, I haven't actually seen any evidence of any real foul play but... yes, I've seen him turn her frowns into half-smiles almost magically. He whispers to her and she'll have quite a number of mood swings, and I figure she's the least likely to swing moods easily before" Elena offered to Taylor. She didn't really wish to take sides so soon but, yes... she did get a bad feeling about Kai in the pit of her own stomach. Although she wasn't sure she was so very considerate of both sides either.

"But he seems to make her happy. I'm not sure her schoolwork is staying on par, or if he had to do with her not coming to some club meetings..." She mentioned to Taylor, giving her a little more information of what she saw. Elena, Taylor and Layna used to be way close, and she shared many of the same after school things... and lately, it seemed she saw less and less of Layna.

Taylor listened but knew that Elena wouldn't have seen as much as she had. Sighing quietly, she nodded her head a little bit. "I just... I feel like she's forgoing so much for him," she swallowed back. "While at the same time he doesn't give up anything for her... He treats her like shit sometimes and she just takes him back because he's got some... Weird control of her. I don't understand it," she said, sighing quietly. "I mean, I've never... Seen him hit her, but that doesn't mean he hasn't..." she offered, nodding her head gently.

"That's why I can't really go to him and accuse him of it... Unless she tells me that it's happened, I have no real proof. He's taken to taking her out of the room if he wants to talk to her and I'm around... I think he knows that I think something is up," she said quietly. For the next few minutes she fumbled with her fingers in her lap, just thinking in quiet. "I feel like I'm losing her. I think I might say something to her, hint at some thing to see if she lets up... I keep telling her I don't like him but she just tells me it's not any of my business," Taylor scoffed as if she was insulted by her sister saying that. In a way she was - it hurt her to watch Layna grow farther away from her and even away from the things she once enjoyed.

After a few more minutes of silence she looked up at Elena. "You don't have to go with me if you don't want to... It's fine, I'll understand. Just do me a favor and try to keep your eye out for them at school and stuff, huh?"

She watched as Taylor continued to speak as if she were terribly worried about Layna. At first of course, when she was first called over, Elena had thought that this might be a case of jealousy, but even as she listened to Taylor speak, she could tell more and more it was less about that, but more that there was really something seriously wrong with the relationship in question. Of course, she hadn't heard Layna's side of the story so....

But she couldn't keep from backing up her friend. "No no! Of course I'm coming with you. We'll talk with her together, and maybe she'll realize it herself yes?" She answered Taylor as she stood up and showed her support for her cause. If there was something wrong, they'd get to the bottom of it. Better to find out now than later, and if they were wrong, they'd just say they were sorry... maybe take them out to eat and ask for forgiveness.

Unfortunately for them of course, now that Layna had turned her phone on, she got a text message from Kai, a very flattering text as well as a good luck on her project. Whether or not they found evidence, Kai had layered upon her as much affection as he had in quite a while, and now of course, she'd soon find herself backed into a corner by both groups, pressed to make a decision.

Taylor's shoulders seemed to sink in relief when Elena said she'd go with her. Smiling she nodded and reached over, rubbing and patting her knee softly. "Thank you... I'm glad you'll go," she said and smiled softly. Taking another minute to breathe she slowly got up off the couch and stood for a second, awkwardly turning off the TV as if not wasting power was the biggest of her concerns right now. With another breath she urged Elena toward the stairs with her. "Here goes nothing..." Taylor sighed, hoping at a medium pace up the stairs.

Layna was pouring over her books again when she got the text message. Smiling at it she sent him back something sweet as well as a "thank you" for the luck. Suddenly aware of someone standing in her doorway, she turned and looked at Taylor smirking a bit. Taylor being the observant girl she was, noticed the reddening spots on her neck and that her cheek seemed a little puffy, but she bit her tongue from accusing her. "Hey Taylor... What do- Oh, hey Elena," she smiled and waved to their friend. "I can't really do anything right now... I've gotta finish this work and then Kai wants to hang out..." her voice trailed off. Her brow furrowed as she ran a hand through her brown hair.

Slowly Taylor moved into her room anyways and motioned to sit on Layna's bed, ruffling the sheets a bit. "Well, see, Layna... Elena and I wanted to talk to about Kai..." she said and Layna looked at her, vaguely confused. "I don't think..." she started, looking up at her sister, then glancing at her friend. "I'm worried about you," she finally said, swinging her legs gently as they dangled over the side of the bed.

Elena stood by the doorway and just smiled and nodded when Layna mentioned how much work she had. And then when she wanted to hang out with Kai right after, well.... it was quite late and for her to go see Kai at this time, she wondered if she could even stay awake during the daytime. She looked to Taylor when she told Layna that they needed to talk about Kai and Layna just sort of looked at them without knowing what was going on. She could see that Taylor was having trouble telling Layna so she decided to butt in and say it.

"We're both worried. I haven't seen you at the book club or ... really anything. And you look tired during the day." She told her before actually she began to fidgit. She had even less evidence than Taylor so all she could do was support her and provide a little energy into this conversation. She could also see that there was a little puffiness on her cheeks as well as the red on her neck... but also couldn't bring it up just yet.

It was true that Kai would probably keep her up late, but she had the notion in her head that if she didn't spend time with him, he'd hurt her more - which was actually true. But more so she was scared of losing him, especially after today. Layna seemed lost in her own thoughts before Taylor piped up again. "Yeah... You seem so distant," she said quietly, tilting her head softly. She drew in a sharp breath and looked over her sister, narrowing her eyes in quiet contemplation in what to say next. "Is... Is everything okay between you two?" she urged Layna to speak, trying to get something out of her. Any sort of reaction right now would be good, considering Layna just seemed to be sitting there in her own world.

"Everything's fine," Layna nearly scoffed, furrowing her brow at her sister. "I mean, we're fighting a little more, but... Everything's okay," she insisted with an urgency that didn't seem entirely sincere.

Quietly Taylor looked over at Elena, almost begging for help, though she knew the poor girl couldn't and didn't have much to say. Chewing on her bottom lip Taylor thought for a minute. "Has he ever... I mean, I know you really like him, Layna, but..." Taylor looked up at her as if their sister telepathy would explain it all away.

"Has he ever what? I know you don't like him, Taylor, but really... I'm dating him, not you," she said, absent-mindedly rubbing her cheek softly. She'd scraped the inside of her cheek against her teeth and she could taste iron from her blood, but she just swallowed it an ignored it, putting her hand back in her lap. Shifting uncomfortably in her chair, Layna sighed, glancing toward Elena who seemed awkwardly in the middle of this.

She watched as they got nowhere, and when Layna finally spoke, it was as if she blamed herself for the fights, that it was normal for those kind of fights to occur. And with Taylor unable to really say anything to Layna, this was getting too awkward and would soon go nowhere if something didn't happen. So finally she did something ridiculous in order hopefully get something going, seeing her rub the cheek which was a little swollen, Elena moved right over to to her as he looked over to Taylor, hoping this would reveal something.

One hand moved over to her jaw and opened it before she stuck two fingers to the cheek and pulled it out... as she found blood. "Fighting is one thing Layna, but if he's hitting you that's not a healthy relationship. Now what's with that red spot on your neck hmm?" She said as she showed Taylor that before her eyes wandered over to Layna. Her own eyes were different than Taylor's. Layna watched Taylor fidget and barely seemed to notice when Elena stood up. She didn't have time to protest before the girl had withdrawn her fingers as quickly as she'd stuck them in their, leaving an awkward taste in her mouth. More so than that, though, she realized that they now knew she was bleeding. She sighed internally as the gears in her head started to turn - how was she going to explain this? She felt bad lying to her sister and one of her best friends, but then there was Kai...

Taylor glanced up at Elena's fingers and her eyes seemed to glaze for a bit before she turned her attention to Layna. "Layna... Is he? Is he hitting you?" she finally blurted out, suddenly not worried about being all that polite or proper. She just blinked and her legs and stopped swinging.

"On accident, it was an accident, I mean... He apologized... He got angry. I guess there's things going on at home with him and he thought I was avoiding him, and... Just got out of hand. Just for a minute, only once..." she rambled on for a bit before her voice trailed off and she looked around, licking the inside of her cheek. It'd been more than once, it'd been a few times, really... But they were all minor, she was convincing herself of that. "We talked about it..." she said finally. Hearing Elena ask about her neck, she reached up and rubbed softly, feeling a few tender spots. Blushing softly, Layna looked between the the two girls and sighed. "A hickey... S'kinda how he apologized..." she offered, hoping they'd take that.

Taylor looked over at Elena, watching her for a second before shaking her head a bit. "I don't believe that for a second, Layna..."

Well, the rambling seemed like she was making excuses for him. It was turning out worse than she though. So there definitely was some abuse in this relationship but, why did Layna not seem to see?
