| This is a poem I wrote when I was in the hospital a few weeks ago. Hope you like it. 
Stairs Of Life.
Descending up the stairs,
The case we all once climbed,
The one that seems to go nowhere,
Every step I slip and fall,
Every grip pulling me forth,
Bruises and aches mark my soul,
The pain I’ve endured will never be known,
As I climb those accursed stairs,
I stumble down to fall into the dark pit,
I have fall and as much as I cry,
No matter how hard I try,
The darkness is utterly merciless,
As I am about to suffocate in the dark pool of despair,
An angel voice speaks,
As a warmth engulfs me in its sweet tender bliss,
I move forth up the dark shrouded stairs once more,
Slipping as I go but with strength I with hold,
I will never let go,
As the light appears ahead,
It lightens the load, in which I was chained,
Hands reach out to always catch my fall,
But then they miss and all has faded,
Merciless black consumes my body,
So far I’ve survived but now I've grown weary,
Just when I have given up hope,
Through the dark a single hand stretches out,
Without doubt I reach out for it,
You chased away the path of failure,
The coal cage in which kept me hidden,
You rose the sun,
Now all I can see is light. _________________ Today's subliminal message is Fuck off!!! |
