This was it...This was the moment she'd been waiting for for so long. After all of their planning, tonight was the night they would be getting their revenge on one of their most cunning opponents. The two had led him on for weeks, giving him a huge ego and not a lot of faith in their abilities. Too bad that he didn't know it was all a set up. If the two of them pulled this off, they'd have some of the most valuable items in the world in their possessions and their reputations as the best in the business would be solid.

Yin looked over at her partner, her amber eyes locking onto his as if to say, "ready?" and pulled her long, light brown hair into a secure bun. She knew the system of this place in and out, and it required her not to have many things that dangled. Her tight black suit moved rather silently as did her shoes, but neither were made of leather. It also made it easier for her to slide around if she needed to. As she prepared to finally enter the building, she couldn't help but feel a twinge of excitement. The woman was incredibly turned on by the prospect of robbing someone and getting away clean, especially if she was stealing from this person. As she waited for the signal from her partner, she did her best to calm down, knowing that the slightest miscalculation on her part would lead to her downfall.

Jake quickly but quietly covered her her mouth. He made sure she was looking at him. His mouth moved but nothing came from it. 'Audio surveillance cameras. Not until after we cut the power, and even then we MUST be silent.' He pulled his had away from her lips. He raised up two fingers indicating that two minutes until it was time to strike. The planned called for him to leave her side early and drop the guards after cutting the power. He was one of the top three when it came to thievery, his underground name, Ninja.

He pulled the hood over his head and covered his mouth. He snapped his gloved fingers and gave a thumbs up. He enjoyed this it gave him the wild rush that every time he could run it over and over in his mind. He ran the rope down in the only blind spot out of the whole building. Jake scaled down the wall as he moved across the floor. He quickly ran across the ground, working his way in the dark spots of the building. After a minute he was in front of the fuse box. He flipped the switch and then cut the hard-line so it couldn't be fixed. He turned the mic on that he had placed to communicate with his partner. "Y, you ready? hard-lines cut now that's left is to drop the guards and your in the green for our jewel. What the hell was your code name again?" He was a very forgetful person but it had only been a few month of working with her. He was the plan guy and executioner of the operation, she was given the easier because she wasn't very experienced. "Remember the target has a special beam that's tied to a separate alarm system housed underneath the stand. Don't trip it."

"Got it. I'll be ready as soon as you take them out," she said, her voice as hushed as possible while still being audible. "And it was Wings," she said, referring to the name that had been chosen for her. Though she was inexperienced, she was incredibly fast once she knew what she needed to do and rarely left any trace of her actual appearance on the scene. She nodded and waited for his signal, preparing to enter the building. There was one thing and one thing that she absolutely had to get. The most valuable jewel in the place.

"You better." He said softly as he heard footsteps "Time to move in three two..." There came a groan over the headset he was wearing. "One." He handcuffed the guard and then started to run up the stairs and into the main building where the only light that was was the light of the crescent moon. Tonight marked ten years of his profession, and he was aiming for ten years of trace free thievery. "You have three minutes." he gave a slight wave as he heard more footsteps running towards him. His job started keeping the guards so distracted while she took the target.

Yin slipped into the building staying low to the floor to void the lasers just inches above her head. Carefully, she made her way over to the other side of the room, moving around invisible laser grids until she got to the pad to disarm the grid. Carefully, she punched in the last known code that she'd managed to get hold of and was rewarded with the beep of complete safety to move about the room freely. "Good luck, ninja." She said, moving around the treasure room until she saw the jewel. She just needed to disarm the laser and get the jewel before she slid out the window. Quickly she looked for the pad to disarm it, hoping that she could find it and mess with the wiring.

"Just get what we came here for and we'll talk later." He said softly raising his back foot to crack an on coming guard in the jaw. "This is too easy watch your back in there..." He said fighting off another guard. Perhaps it was his paranoia or maybe it was just the fact that these guards had zero skill what so ever. Something was too easy in his mind and he didn't like it.

"I'm trying to find the separate laser," she whispered. After a few more minutes of searching, she found a panel that pulled out. After a bit of wiring mixes, she was able to disarm the alarm and take the jewel, placing it in a special bag that she tucked into her shirt. "Got it," she whispered heading back for her entry point.

"And so it turns out that there really is no honor amongst thieves," said a masculine voice. And then there was the sound of a gun being taken off of safety. "At least I caught the pretty one," he said again.

Slowly the girl turned to face him. It was the thief himself, but no one else seemed to be there. Still, she didn't like the odds of her getting out if there was no distraction. "Well you know, beauty before age," she said, hoping that her partner would understand that she was in trouble because of the volume of her voice.

'Again?' the word that came to mind this had happened before a few months back but that was before they had the headset. The time for distracting was over as he jumped into the air bringing his left foot around to hit all the guards left standing. It was going to take him at least two minutes to get to her while staying silent but if it was the guy he thought it was he liked to have a small speech before actually taking what he wanted. He prayed he had enough time to get there before the jewel was obtained by the other thief.

The thief took a few steps toward Yin, but she stayed planted where she was. Her eyes never left him as he came closer. "It's such a shame I'll have to kill you...unless you give me that jewel. Maybe we can make some kind of arrangement. I could train you to be the best you can be, my pet."

"Ha, such tempting offers," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. If he would just come a bit closer, she could disarm him, but he was staying a fair distance away.

Ninja silently drew his sword from it's sheath and pointed it at the other thieves back. "No honor is right, Freddy." There was a click behind the other thief which just so happened to be ninja's ex partner. "Still haven't learned to stop skimming people for their work have you?" The click was Jake pulling the 'trigger' of his sword which heated the small metal coils in the sword making it glow a hot red. "I'd suggest dropping the gun and walking off. You of all people know that I'm one of the best. Kill without a word and let the raven take you to the other side." The sword was as hot as it was going to get now casting an eerie glow onto it's holder.

The thief nodded and dropped the gun and kicked it toward Yin, staying perfectly still otherwise. The girl picked it up and started climbing out. She would leave the two former partners to their own devices. It was nothing that she was particularly interested in. "I'll be waiting," she said, hoping that she wouldn't be blamed for getting caught when the whole thing was clearly a trap.

"Next time study up on who's going to be where Freddy. Your not as good as you think you are." Jake let off the trigger as the sword cooled down. "Next time, when you try and steal from me I'll take it personally. Now get out of here before the cops show up or they figure out how to re engaged the security systems." Jake sheathed his sword thankful that it cooled rapidly. He scaled the wall in a matter of seconds and pulled up the rope he had repelled down. Yin was waiting like she said she would and he tapped her on the shoulder. "Let's get back to the hideout."

Yin nodded and the two of them exited the area, heading for their getaway vehicles. The police showed up just as they were getting around the block. Once back at the hide out, Yin took the bag from her jacket and handed it to her partner. "Here."

He gently took the bag from her. He wasn't some arrogant asshole that didn't trust anyone, though he was cautious due to his last partner. He had a gut feeling she didn't care about just taking her cut and leaving, they made a good team they had since they started. There was still a lot to teach her though before she branched out her wings and flew on her own though. "Freddy liked skimming his partner's. He'd take his cut and then a little bit of his partners. I wasn't too worried about it but he got more and more greedy with each cut." He looked up at Yin. "I don't want to see you do that your smarter then he was. But if you build up a list of enemies then you'll lose business, as well as respect."

"I'm sorry to hear that," she said, taking her hair down. "But you don't need to worry about me wanting a bigger cut. As far as I'm concerned, what I get is more than fair. I'm in it for the rush more than the money." She smiled softly, but understood what he'd meant. After all he'd been through, he had a right to be so cautious.
