BUT of cOUrSe Y O U kNOw the Princess xX

Facades. A rouse that mankind had created for themselves to hide behind. Many could not relinquish it, and instead use them to put on intricately planned performances for the rest world to see. Adelaide is one of them.

To the few chosen people she lets close to her, Adelaide can be described as an outgoing, strong individual with a kind heart. Whenever someone is sad or upset, she will do everything in her power to help him or her. She is a determined being; if she has her mind set on something, she will work vigorously until she achieves it, even if it’s the simplest thing. She is also very curious, and will not stop until she discovers an answer. A unique trait she has is she can find the beauty in things that people may not even take a second glance at, and appreciate them.

When amongst a crowd a people, though, the female goes through a radical change. Pushing her inhibitions aside, Adelaide becomes the epitome of the perfect guest. She is articulate, letting her words flow fluidity without hesitation. Effortlessly, she can begin and hold onto a conversation. And she becomes very quiet, only speaking unless spoken to. Poised and stoic she stands tall, always making sure to be well-mannered and to have proper posture. But, no one is perfect, even Adelaide.

Hidden from everyone, even the few people that are considered her friends, all of her fears and insecurities are stored away. And while it may appear as if she doesn’t take things to heart, she does. A flaw, or a great skill in some people’s eyes, is that she can bottle up her true feelings and conceal them with a simple smile. This makes it impossible to tell whether she is happy or angry, unless you look deep into her eyes for the answer. She has a difficult time trusting people, even the ones she has known for a long time. She has seen the aftermath of false trust, and doesn't want to go through that herself. But if you do gain her trust, she will be the person that will stand by you until the end, whatever happens.

The most memorable pair of eyes play peak-a-boo with soft lashes, innocent and wide, the emerald orbs are set in a naive face. Every curving cheek or sloping jaw line shows signs of her complex nature, the column of her frail neck and childlike face contributes to the misconception that she is young, naive. Her long, trailing tresses are a dark brown as dark as rich soil and they are of a fine, soft consistency. The airy strands are rarely left tumbling down, curling around her face and gentle curve of shoulder. Adelaide loves playing with her hair; it is a habit, like that of biting ones nails or tugging at sleeves. The softness against her finger pads comforts her. The silken fall of hair are just a few inches short of brushing against her hips, possesses the mischievous tendency of snagging or getting themselves caught in the strangest places.

Her long hair is soft and silky, the sort of softness that seems almost dream-like and encourages lookers to walk up and bury their face against the cloud-like softness and smooth line of neck. She has long limbs and a masterful control over her body expression and movement. Bright, pale green eyes peer from below her slow arch of eyebrows. While she is a soft, mild person, May holds a confused and convoluted personality that shows in her gaze when she is trying to hide her anger. In fact, when she narrows her eyes even the slightest degree or thins her full lips into a displeased line, very few people notice the difference. Her gaze seems to see right through any pretenses and find something in you waiting for her skillful hand to help it flourish.

Her tall, willowy figure should be awkward or domineering among a crowd, especially considering the average height of her ethnicity and gender, but the slender limbs and meek bearing seems to shrink her height. Her limbs are balanced with shy whispers of avian delicacy, long, graceful legs a dancer could only wish for, nimble fingers elegant, perfect for her culinary forays, and a low, fluid voice that holds traces of a soft and wild accent.

Averse to drawing attention, even her formal attire can be considered conservative and simple, ranging mostly from a dark ballgowns to her collection of simple dresses. It is really difficult to get her into these less than comfortable clothes, but when forced Adelaide can pull off the graceful simplicity. To persuade the unassuming girl to don any sort of jewelry is to face the challenge of the decade, though the girl does have a soft spot for a few specific pieces, rumored to have been gifts from a past lover.

In short, Adelaide can be incredibly, indescribably, and crushingly beautiful.

___ __ _Cooking. If there is any mother figure, someone slightly akin to maternal influences within her house, then it is her. She bakes, she cooks, she whips and grills - she's very nearly the epitome of a kitchen goddess, capable of creating a feast prized by gods if she so wished. It is also a source for relief and if anyone has noticed the fluctuating presence of lethal killing intent as she's chopping parley into a fine sprinkle, they dare not mention it. Dancing. Blessed with a body perfect for dance, Delphine threw the first decade of her life into learning it, practicing it and mastering it. No one moves to the beat quite like she does, changes the rhythm into a live creature as her partner, or sets a fire into the heart of the music. She can turn a sensual tango into a requiem if in the mood, the graceful waltz into something so sensual the air would sizzle if it could. But for a while now, the blue eyed Celt has taken to dances for suitable for a single dancer, hardly ever requiring a partner. Books. Adelaide reads at an almost inhuman pace. Stacking of novels, books, anthologies sped through in a day, devoured with all the hunger of a starved man - the stories, the drama, and the triumph of love at the end of each fairytale makes her nostalgic and painfully so - the bitter endings and disappointing characters a stark reminder of her life and her destiny. Autumn. The season is hers in almost all ways; the colorful leaves half green half red, the crunch of shrugged layers underfoot and the crisp air refreshes her; the migration of birds and animals a quiet reflection of how she wishes that she too, could run with the change of seasons.

___ __ _Betrayal. A peculiar sort, she sees betrayal of loyalties, of loves, and of duties to be one of the utmost sins, not so much the betrayal of a group; such a thing does not bother her. Your beliefs can change, but not your loves, not once you have devoted it. Mention of her assention to the throne. Oh, if you asked, she'd answer your questions, but Adelaide has the uncanny knack of answering all your questions without giving your any information of relevance. She values her privacy; keep the secrets of those long ago times locked deeply in her eyes. Disrespect towards books, pieces of art, and antiques. The bright eyed girl despises people who would treat such things carelessly, each piece so delicately crafted and such fine, shining things that artists spent such time striving for. One cannot help but admire the effort, if not always the result, and she will not suffer some fool destroying another's dreams and soulful reflections of self.
